"Ended up here under sad cancelled flight circumstances and left wanting to bring my family back to experience it! Such a beautiful property with so much to offer. I wish I got his name but the gentleman working late Sunday night was one of the best customer service reps I’ve worked with, he went above and beyond to upgrade me to a gorgeous suite to get some shut eye before trying to get to the airport again, helped with guidance for getting out in the morning, and topped it all off with a glass of rose. He made stress turn into something positive from a terrible day of travel. The hotel itself is like beach chic decor, very clean and modern. They have a great restaurant on property. Rooms were clean and spacious, I lucked out with a Bungalow that was basically a 2 bedroom apartment with a cute little balcony. The beds were super comfortable. I wish I got to explore the rest but makes for another reason to come back! They had tons of great amenities which I would have loved to check out. Long winded way of saying a great hotel, staff, and location."

"Our organization had the opportunity to hold a staff retreat at the Rockaway. The planning was very (very) last minute, but Maura and her team were incredibly flexible with accommodating our needs. She was able to work within our budget and create a thorough proposal. The retreat itself went extremely smooth. Her team was incredibly attentive to our needs, and were quick to respond to any of the requests and issues that snuck up during our time. The variety of food options met our dietary needs and there was always plenty to go around. Dinner on the rooftop is a must! Maura suggested it as an option for our team, and it went over very well. The food and service were top notch. The only downside was that we were so busy in our meetings that most of us did not have the chance to take advantage of all the amenities that came along with our stay at the Rockaway. That only means another visit must happen in the future. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!"

"It was our 3rd annual trek to the Rockaway Hotel + Spa and our December visit was as welcoming /joyful/relaxing as anticipated. We sisters ❤️ the rooms that face Jamaica Bay so that we can keep track of the NYC “Rockaway Rocket” ferry route between the terminal at Beach 108th Street and Beach Channel Drive & NYC. Of course, the Manhattan skyline never fails! Staff at the hotel are consistently friendly & accommodating. We’ve now known Darren the manager for 3 consecutive years and he is awesome! Even with the cold temps, we relished the outdoor pool (now with heated salt water) and the sauna. We indulge every visit with a spa session. Highly recommend! And always dinner at Margie’s and an AM complimentary fitness/wellness class at the hotel’s, “The Studio.” Our 4th annual trek won’t come soon enough. Thank you again, Rockaway Hotel + Spa!"

"I had such a wonderful experience at The Rockaway Hotel, and it was made even more special because I got to enjoy it with my mom. We went to the Sunday Social Rooftop Brunch together and the food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The attention to detail was incredible! The staff truly made our visit unforgettable. Some of the fantastic employees from today include Margo, Thomas, Rob, and Tara at brunch, who were so attentive and kind. A big thank you to Sarah and Grace in the pool house for creating such a relaxing atmosphere. The spa experience was incredible — Joey gave the best scalp massage ever! Huge shoutout as well to Emily and Jess for such a soothing and professional spa experience. Melanie and Kaylyn at the front desk made everything smooth and welcoming from the moment we arrived. From the food to the service to the overall vibe, everything was top-notch. We can’t wait to come back!"

"We had the most incredible wedding at The Rockaway Hotel! Our rooftop ceremony was absolutely stunning, followed by a beautiful cocktail hour on the Sun Deck, a perfect reception in the Harbor Room, and an amazing rooftop after-party. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. I loved that the hotel had everything we needed — a place for our guests to stay and multiple spaces that gave each part of our event its own unique feel. On top of that, we received countless compliments on the food throughout the night — everything was truly delicious! My husband has a severe dairy allergy, and the chef and staff went above and beyond to make sure he was fully accommodated. They were extremely careful about cross-contamination and made sure he was well fed with safe and delicious options, which gave us such peace of mind. There isn’t a single thing we would change. Our Maître D’, Jay, was phenomenal and ensured every detail was taken care of. Maura, Margo, and Erika and all the staff were also incredible to work with throughout the planning process and on the big day. We are so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding better than we ever imagined!"
