"price was great, central location, you get your own space and you are left alone, womens only floor felt so safe, and there is a lovely communal area with very comfy seating, wifi is good. just be aware ceilings are open, it's quiet but you inevitably will hear people coming back to their rooms, it wasn't a problem for me though as othrr than that very quiet. you can't eat/drink in your room but can in the common area, you don't get any food/drink included but there is a kettle and a fridge. I thought the bed was comfy but I am only 5ft1 so not sure how it would be for someone taller, a little cold at times in the common area with the aircon so bring an extra blanket, you can leave your bags on check out, showers were good, always hot when I used them"

"As a senior woman, 69 years old, I felt comfortable and safe on the womens only floor. I was visiting family for two weeks so this was an affordable place to sleep at night, walking distance to families flat. I bought a warm hoody and pants to wear over my jammies because it was cold at night. Recommend bringing a light robe to wear from room to shower. Maybe a small towell for hair. Bed was lumpy but ok."

"The mattress sucks. Just a foam pad. And the room is small. But you probably already knew that. It’s loud too. But I just spent three nights there and it was great for what I paid compared to what else was available. It’s clean. People were nice. Easy check in/out. Once I started using the ear plugs at night it was fine. I even had a window in my room! Cocktail bar downstairs was cool with a great happy hour."

"I want to start by saying that the concept of this place is a great idea, and for the price, it’s definitely one of the more affordable options in the center of Manhattan. The location is excellent, with so many things to do in the area, and as a solo traveler, I appreciated feeling safe staying on the women’s-only floor. That said, there are a few things future guests should know before booking. First, there are no elevators, so if you have heavy or multiple pieces of luggage, be prepared to climb several flights of stairs. The cabin-style bedrooms also have open ceilings, which means you’ll hear doors slamming throughout the night. While they do have a no-noise policy that keeps things fairly quiet otherwise, the door noise was hard to avoid. The bed setup was very minimal — it only came with a sheet, so if you get cold, you’ll need to ask for a blanket. The bathrooms, however, were my least favorite part of the stay. The showers are very small, and there’s little privacy since it’s a shared community-style bathroom. It can feel crowded, especially when multiple people are getting dressed or brushing their teeth at the same time. I also feel the bathrooms could benefit from being cleaned more than once a day to stay fresh, especially given the number of women using the facilities. Overall, I’d recommend this place for anyone traveling on a budget who just needs a safe and central spot to stay in NYC for a night or two. It’s not a luxury experience, but if affordability and location are your top priorities, it’s a solid option."
