"If you’re looking for fancy… this isn’t it. If you’re looking for budget friendly, convenient to the subway, close to downtown, small neighborhood.. this IS it. We have stayed twice and can’t wait to go back. The hotel itself is perfect for the price. The room is small, but has a microwave and refrigerator.Free parking is a huge plus. The staff is friendly. The rooms are simple but have very thing you need. The water pressure in the shower… incredible! The neighborhood is my favorite part. We love the pizza from Gravesend, We LOVE LOVE the halal chicken from the Finest Deli. We love bagels from sunset bagels. Stay here. You won’t regret it."

"We decided to utilize the small-scale event space for a very exclusive, intimate corporate dinner, and the catering team handled every minute detail flawlessly. One guest had a severe, unannounced dairy allergy, and the chef adapted two courses on the spot, ensuring she felt both safe and included in the spectacular meal. This level of professional, flexible service speaks volumes about the quality L'Hôtel maintains."

"The room itself was a masterclass in minimalist, high-end design, feeling airy and spacious despite its Manhattan address. I realized I had forgotten my prescription pillows, a small but important detail for my comfort. The guest services team sourced the necessary hypoallergenic alternatives and had them waiting for me within an hour, transforming what could have been a very uncomfortable trip into one of deep rest and relaxation."

"We had a slight issue with street noise late on a Friday evening, but the front desk immediately moved us to an identical, quieter room on a higher floor without any debate or delay. The rapid resolution meant we never lost a moment of sleep and were incredibly appreciative of the staff’s proactive attentiveness. The rest of our stay, surrounded by the European design and luxury bedding, was absolutely blissful."

"I stayed two nights. My shower was broken and I wasn't able to shower during my stay. They couldn't move me to a different room as the hotel was full. I asked to speak to the manager a few times, and was always relayed messages from the front desk staff - I never heard from any manager. When I reported the problem (it was late at night) the front desk person inquired as to why I had waited so long to shower. I literally had to explain my schedule to justify not showering earlier, as though it were my fault. I have good reason to believe they knew about the broken shower and put me in that room anyway. I don't normally write bad reviews, but the lack of concern from the alleged "manager" I never got to speak with is a bad indicator that if you have any problems at this hotel, they will not do anything to help. On check out, the front desk person offered me a room to shower. But I was already packed up and heading out to leave. It's not like I'm asking a lot. Just to be able to use the shower I paid for. They did offer a very small discount for my trouble, but it wasn't anything near the 50% or free night that is industry standard when a core amenity isn't available. I've stayed in better hotels in Brooklyn at the same price point. Shop around - avoid the L."
