"The Historic Blue Moon Hotel on Orchard Street is our go-to place to stay in New York City. I grew up a few blocks away, and this hotel captures the authentic history and character of the Lower East Side. The location is excellent—just two blocks from the F train with quick access to Soho, the Village, Midtown, and connections to major attractions. Katz’s Deli, Little Italy, and Chinatown are all within walking distance. Randy, the owner, and David, the manager, provide outstanding hospitality. They make the experience feel personal, and Randy’s knowledge of neighborhood history and the nearby Tenement Museum adds tremendous value. The neighborhood is vibrant, walkable, and feels safe at all hours. There are countless restaurants, cafés, and cultural institutions nearby, including the International Center of Photography. The Williamsburg Bridge is also close if you want a great walk into Brooklyn. Rooms range from standard to penthouse and are filled with Lower East Side memorabilia, making the hotel feel unique and memorable. A microwave and improved Android TV connection would make the stay even better, but overall, this is an exceptional boutique hotel that we look forward to returning to."

"This place has so much history, right across from the famed Tenement museum. It is located on Orchard Street, one of the most dynamic areas in NYC's lower east side, dotted with cafes, shops, and restaurants (no chains!). The hotel, itself once a tenement building, has old world charm with bohemian touches, and a very welcoming staff. Our room was spacious and spotless with a little balcony. It is not in the cookie cutter mold of many hotels, and that's what makes it special. Thanks so much for a great stay!"

"This is a nice hotel in a great location, very close to the subway and many fun spots. It’s a very cozy and cute hotel and the room was quiet, which is a plus for NYC. Good pricing for the area as well. The room was clean, well lit, and the bed was nice. Only complaint is that the shower did not have hot water. The sink made scalding hot water but only cold from shower. Hope they fix this. Nevertheless, would stay again."

"We were recently visiting family in the EV and our flight home got canceled. The hotel we were at didn’t have space for an extra night so we looked for something close and first started looking here because of the price/convenience. The photos looked good so we took a chance and I’m only sad we didn’t stay here the whole trip. If you don’t appreciate a historic building, it may not be your thing but the charm of this place plus the service made it an excellent experience. The staff (and I think we met the owner) were so kind and personable. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and spacious, they had locally sourced soap/shampoo/conditioner and we felt really safe. I will say the water pressure wasn’t too notch but the water was HOT, which is more important for me. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area."

"Stayed for 4 nights and it was the best! The rooms are awesome and the staff was incredible: so nice, helpful and friendly. Bram was awesomr at the front desk when I extended my visit and David rocks too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hospitality with a capital H... The homemade chocolate cupcakes in the cafe' are something else along with other fresh baked goodies. I can't wait to return and will never stay anywhere else. Thank you, Historic Blue Moon Hotel. the girl from boston ♥️"
