"Dear Box House Hotel Team, I hope this email finds you well. I'm writing to request your assistance with a booking error I made for my recent stay at your hotel. I booked a room for November 21st, but I mistakenly booked the 21st of December instead of November 21st. As a result, I ended up staying at the hotel and had to change our dates, incurring additional costs. I understand that this was my error, and I'm willing to take responsibility for it. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could work with me to resolve this situation. I paid for the original booking through Agoda, and I'm wondering if it's possible to receive a refund for the unused night. They have sent a request to refund my money. My booking reference is 597750587. I would be grateful if you could look into this matter and arrange for a refund to be processed. Thank you for your understanding and assistance with this matter. I look forward to hearing back from you soon. - 3 weeks later still no resolution"

"Just finished a special weekend at the Bix House and had a seamless, wonderful experience! Love the unique and completeness of the rooms creating a fascinating and calm atmosphere. Enjoy the relative quiet amidst the busyness of the city. Special kudos to Kristina’s hospitality"

"Kind and caring staff, generously sized rooms for New York. We especially loved weekend evenings at the Brooklyn Lantern, where we met a fantastic bartender. Only issue was the bathroom in our second-floor studio. The lighting in the bathroom is quite bad, the fan is always on and incredibly loud, and the shower stall is too small. Neither of us are big people, and we each felt cramped in the shower."

"Stayed here with my wife for a weekend. Our room was a decent size and everything was clean. We couldn't hear any outside noise, though we could occasionally hear footsteps above us but we weren't really phased. We were able to find really convenient street parking, but I could imagine finding street parking during the week to be more of a challenge. Staff was really nice and the bar made good drinks. Would definitely stay here again."

"I was disappointed in The Box Hotel for many reasons. After staying at The Box Hotel, I noticed there were others that had the same experience that I did. One price on the phone and a different one on the email. There was a promise the room block discount would appear at the end of the stay. The discount for the room block was strategically different. There were extra charges not approved on the bill. The 2 bedroom suite was on the second floor with no elevator. This was a hassle for the wedding party. So many dresses to carry up and so many makeup kits and accessories. Carrying up suitcases without help from the desk. While we were unpacking the car the owner had us move our car. We had to leave all of our stuff in the hallway and come down 2 flights of stairs to move the car because the owner could not wait. If you absolutely need to stay here I would recommend going to a different site to book. You would be guaranteed the amount you would pay and there would be no surprises. We stayed for 6 days. I would encourage you to stay somewhere else for the majority of your time and only stay here for your event."
