"Room was decent, expectations weren’t high. However before you book this please know that we weren’t advised when booking it or even at check in that this facility serves as a homeless shelter. Security was asleep every time we left or entered. Even the front desk was asleep. Safety concerns drive this review. I took photos each time and of all the floors marked as DHS (Department of Homeless Shelter). This was not discovered until after we checked in. When asked the hotel basically said too bad and refused a refund. I contacted Expedia and they said that the hotel verified homeless shelter when they contacted them however declined refund. We had no choice but to stay and make the best of it."

"Starting with the door that doesn't actually close...the room is "decent" for a business stay or so I thought...I felt like someone was in my room and I was correct. they walked in on me while I am completely naked as I type this so I assume they also came in on the first day with my confidential files out on the desk. the door sign was not placed outside for the room to be cleaned so I am not sure why they just walked the hell in...I called the desk and there was no answer, I went downstairs and there was no attendant, the security did not acknowledge me asking where the attendant was. I took a card to report to their email and I will find out how far up I can get this incident. I almost called the police. I feel completely violated and this is not an acceptable business practice and you CAN be sued for negligence...for the final day there should have been a call to the room that checkout is soon instead of knocking at the door at checkout and then charging a fee and still giving the room away before you have any chance to figure out what was going on. I am still a paying customer so there was no reason for their attitude"

"Horrible hotel. we stayed one night there so we were closer to the airport and there were roaches coming out from the sink and the water was yellow, the bed had blood stains under the sheets, the front desk did not answer the phone, and there was no parking. i only had 2 hours of sleep that night."

"Staff was not helpful. Entry into the lobby was difficult. No signage was displayed saying a button had to be pressed to open the sliding lobby doors. Nobody in the hotel would tell me to do that. The lobby was not clean and organized. A hotel employee called in the morning on the day of check-in saying the elevator is broken. Repairs were underway but they were not completed when we arrived. The elevator did not work for the entire three day stay there. Our room was on the ninth floor. The room was somewhat clean but there were holes in the ceiling in the room and bathroom. The beds were adequate enough for a good night's sleep. The room had a good view of Manhattan. In summation, I would not recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay."

"Our experience was not at all like a lot of the reviews. It’s what I expected for the price in NYC - a place to lay your head. It’s dingy but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The TV worked, AC worked. The day and night staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed to be close the the US Open. It gets the job done."
