"Pretty disappointing :/ It essentially feels like a rundown motel. Dirty old carpets, wallpaper that's falling off, mildew in the bathroom, etc... My room also lacks a mini fridge, and the TV is pretty old and doesn't support Chromecast or anything. Also, I kept getting woken up by either the neighbors (walls are ultra thin) or the AC unit starting up (which sounds like an old Chevy). Finally, this was the worst mattress I've slept on in any hotel and there were blood stains on my sheets, not cool."

"If you need a place to stay for a short period of time in New York, it's a good place. The traffic out front of the hotel on Watts Street is horrific, making it hard to get a taxi or rider share so walking or the metro is the way to go. The most important factor about the place is the Front Desk guys. They are phenomenal. Extremely helpful, professional and pleasant.."

"The rooms were cleaned, as in vacummed and surfaces wiped, however they were very old. What i mean is that the grout was peeling off all of the tiles, there was mold all over the showers. Wall paper peeling everywhere. The outlets do not have USB plugs so pack chargers accordingly. The curtains did not close so I needed to use a hair clip for privacy. The key card took several attempts to work, I also heard all the surrounding guests trying to get in their rooms several times and complaining about it outloud (since I could hear everything.) The windows and doors had zero sound proofing. I heard loud cars all night and basically every conversation in all the surrounding rooms as well as the hallway conversations. I have spent several nights in nyc and never had such an excessively noisy room. The staff was nice. As far as overall appearance this hotel was not any sort of formal stay. The location was easily accessible. Sorry Soho 54. This could be a beautiful hotel if updated."

"Rooms are rough. All the wood casing around doors are very banged up. Carpets in rooms are straight over cement, no padding. Heavily stained. Wallpaper peeling. In-room WiFi doesn’t work on “high floors” so they offer a public cafe space tucked in the back of the lobby. No privacy for work which is a big deal for most people. Shower is usable but bare bones. You have to put your shampoo on floor bc not space for it. No counter space at sink. Newer toilet at least. One out of 4 people working at the desk were nice. She was patient and explained a few things to me, incl comped the $40 property fee since I can’t use the WiFi."

"Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price or Hype I booked this hotel based on its online reviews and proximity to an event I was attending. I stayed for 3 nights and paid over $2,000. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price or expectations. From the moment I arrived, the front entrance looked cheap and uninviting. The building itself is poorly maintained—filthy windows and a lack of clear signage made it feel more like a rundown apartment than a good hotel. The lobby, elevators, and hallways all had a dated, budget feel that was completely out of sync with the cost. The room was even worse. Everything felt old and neglected: the pillows were flat and worn, the furniture was scratched, the light shade were broken, and the carpet was dirty with visible rips. The bathroom had grime in the corners and felt unhygienic. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. For the price, you can absolutely find better, cleaner, and more professionally managed accommodations in the city. I would strongly advise fellow travelers to look elsewhere."
