"Two nights at this hotel were enough for me to form a clear and honest opinion and to know it’s time to look for another place. This is one of those hotels that only works when the price is low. If it costs between $75 and $80 per night, it can be acceptable with very low expectations. The problem is when the Robert Treat Hotel charges $200 per night, because the experience doesn’t come close to justifying that price. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this is a very old and poorly maintained place. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, the beds are small and sunken, and both the sheets and pillows are in bad condition and not comfortable at all. The doors don’t close properly because the hinges are loose, which gives a constant feeling of neglect. The hallways feel old, with a worn-out look that reinforces that overall impression. Getting around the hotel is also difficult. The elevators take a very long time, and guests currently have to use the office elevators, supposedly because they are “modernizing.” In reality, this only makes the experience uncomfortable and unreliable. With all this, my opinion is simple and honest: it’s not worth it. I don’t plan to stay here again, and I do not recommend paying more than $100 per night at this hotel. There are much better options for that price."

"This hotel is very inconvenient and used false advertising. Check in is at 3 pm. You can’t check in earlier, which is VERY inconvenient for a “luxury hotel.” The snack place they have closes too early (depending on the day it closes around 5), there is only (but currently) one elevator (which has been closed for a YEAR), the restaurant inside is overpriced while serving small portions (also closes early and forced you to have take out instead at later hours? For a “luxury hotel?”), the workers here are nice but most are slow, the hotel doesn’t serve breakfast and tells you to go to ANOTHER hotel to have breakfast. That’s very cheap for a “luxury hotel.” They advertise their hotel as this “luxury hotel” but you can’t even have breakfast here? You can’t have more than one elevator for your 12 floors and who knows how many people stay in your hotel? They have two elevators and one is down. Hotels should have 3 elevators minimum, ESPECIALLY if you advertise your hotel to be “luxury.” Not to mention the front doors to enter such hotel close down too and forces you to enter from the side. The cars to drive you to and from the hotel? Only one. And it takes an hour to come back and pick you up and drop everyone else off. This is NOT a luxury hotel and it is not a convenient hotel. This hotel is probably only good for one night, it’s a last resort hotel. They have coffee around the 11th floor and the Lobby floor but the coffee locations are also changing. This place has no urgency whatsoever, and I’ve only seen a few GOOD WORKERS here. There’s a lady at the front desk with piercings, she has two piercings under her eyes and a couple of other face piercings, and I think she wear a ponytail or bun. She’s great and personally the best worker at this so-called “luxury hotel.”"

"This hotel is strategically located near Newark Penn Station, with shuttle service there and to-and-from Newark Liberty International airport. Their rooms are immaculately maintained, and they have room service for a sumptuous array of foods. My favorite: their hearty breakfast! Above all, the staff is consummately professional, courteous, and very friendly. 10/10❗️"

"DO NOT STAY HERE! The woman who checked us in was rude and short with us. She couldn’t even be bothered to tell us where the elevators were which only one is operational unfortunately. The place reeks of weed everywhere you go in the hotel. Management doesn’t seem to care whatsoever. In fact, I looked up the reviews the day before were arrived and urged my son to cancel the reservations but it was nonrefundable. So I booked another hotel room for my daughter and her kids and stayed here with my son. Taking a shower was painful. The water pressure is very poor and I could only get the water to a lukewarm temperature. It felt like an oven when we walked in after a full day in NYC. Then the thermostat was in celsius so it was difficult to manage. We ended up cracking a window just to make the room tolerable. If you’re paying one cent over $100 to stay here, you’re overpaying. I would strongly recommend you don’t stay here. This place has amazing potential but it seems management has lost any desire to make this place quality hotel!"

"Nice rooms clean. The only problem is they have to get their HVAC updated cause setting the temperature for the whole hotel is a no go for me like I like cold air even when it’s cold outside I like to fluctuate in my air, for that reason alone, I can’t stay there ever again. Also the elevators take forever one elevator but all in all clean pretty beautiful hotel nice room very nice."
