"I’m not even sure where to begin with my experience during this stay. Shortly after checking in, one of my friends mentioned that the carpet in the hallway felt wet. I initially dismissed it because we were exhausted after a long trip. However, on our way to dinner, I paid closer attention and realized the carpet in the corridor was soaking wet, and the wallpaper was beginning to peel off the walls. When we returned from dinner, there were industrial fans lined up throughout the hallway. I attempted to call the front desk to ask whether the fans would be running all night, as they were extremely loud. That’s when I discovered the room phone didn’t even work. I went downstairs to ask in person, only to be informed that the Wi-Fi was out for the entire block, and staff had no idea if or when it would be restored. I stayed for three nights and never received Wi-Fi. Additionally, the damage in the hallway was continuously being repaired, with workers present day and night. I honestly question whether it was even safe for guests to be placed in a wing with active water damage, but we were never offered a room change. The only response we received was repeated apologies. While the staff themselves were kind, this was absolutely not the experience I expected after traveling across the country. The lack of communication, the unsafe conditions, and the overall inconvenience made this stay incredibly disappointing."

"We are a fit, well travelled, senior couple. We liked the hotel, the very competent and pleasant staff, the good restaurant, and the location. The mattress and linen were very comfortable, and the servicing of the room very good. However, the room and bed were a bit small for us. For seniors, climbing over each other to get to the inside of the bed at night is not really conducive to a good night's sleep. We did ask if there was a bigger room available, but the hotel was fully occupied, unfortunately. So, if you are relatively tall and senior, we recommend choosing a bigger room! We will stay in the hotel again if the opportunity arises!"

"I’m honestly tempted to gatekeep this place because it’s such a gem. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, spacious by NYC standards, and had a nice mid-to-modern vibe. The staff was great — attentive, kind, and fast. I requested room service and it happened quickly, and when I realized I was missing something from the room, they brought it right up with no issues. The on-property restaurant was amazing (truly delicious), and the front-of-house team was warm and on point the whole time. Overall, I don’t have a single complaint. they are doing an incredible job with customer service. Kudos to the entire team."

"Exceeded my expectations! The location is great—just about 5 minutes from the 1 line and roughly 30 minutes to Times Square. The neighborhood feels like a “little Dominican Republic,” full of color, energy, and life. The hotel’s bright, vibrant design gives it a cheerful atmosphere. The rooms are fairly spacious by Manhattan standards—the bathroom is compact, but the bedroom offers decent space. One small drawback: the bed in my room was positioned against the wall and window, so if you’re sharing, one person might need to climb over the other. Be aware that a service charge is deducted from the $75/day deposit at check-in. Some guests are surprised by it, but it does come with vouchers for drinks (soft drinks, coffee, or even white sangria) at the hotel bar. The courtyard often features live music and Dominican performers—fantastic if you enjoy lively vibes, but it can be noisy if your room faces it on a Saturday night. Overall, very affordable for Manhattan and a stay I was genuinely happy with."

"Okay, where to even start. The hotel itself is pretty and in an area close to a subway. But that is also the only nice thing. When we first arrived, we got charged a fee we did not know about. We were 4 friends traveling together, and the bathroom wall was sheer so we could see each other showering, not fun. The lights would go out by itself in the bathroom and it would flicker in the room. We needed more towels (not enough provided for 4 people) but we were told they had run out of towels. There were only 1 duvet for each bed and when we requested more, we got told that there weren't any extra. In the middle of our trip, the AC stopped working, so it was a sauna in the room. (They fixed that quickly though, which was nice) On the weekend, they threw a big party out in the courtyard, which was not told about beforehand and was loud all through the night. People were smoking cigarettes and weed in the courtyard and right outside the lobby, making everything smell. Would not recommend this hotel and we are definitely not coming back."
