"Before my trip, I was very skeptical about this hotel because I had read many negative reviews. However, I want to give an objective opinion, especially because I am a travel agent and I have stayed in many hotels. After staying six nights at Quality Sunset Park, this was my experience. The location is definitely one of the best things about this hotel. It is in a safe area, just one block from the subway with access to many lines, and surrounded by shops and restaurants. I never felt unsafe. There is also a great Mexican restaurant nearby called El Toro Loco. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. The room is small but comfortable. We slept very well most nights, except for one night when there was a strong smell of marijuana in the hallway that came into the room. The rest of the nights were quiet. The bathroom was fine, hot water worked perfectly, and the room included a hair dryer, coffee maker, desk, chair, Smart TV, good lighting, and air conditioning/heating. Customer service was very good, the front desk staff were friendly, although the staff on days off could be a bit rough. Breakfast is the main area to improve. It is very basic: white bread, muffins, bagels, cereal, pancakes, milk, and juice. The food does not change much, the milk runs out quickly, the juice tastes very watered down, and the coffee was not good. I think they could easily add some fruit and more variety. The microwave and toaster are outside the breakfast area, so many guests do not notice them. Regarding cleaning, the hotel only cleans the room if you request it before 10 a.m., which they explain at check-in. We requested it once and it worked well. In general, the hotel is acceptable for the price, with a great location, good rest, and basic services. It is not perfect, but it does the job"

"Extremely kind and accommodating staff. Room was clean and had no odor. Shower temp and pressure was good. Free parking across street under the bridge on a Saturday. Breakfast included. I recommend and would stay again!"

"Great hotel for those on a budget. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to the 45th street subway to Manhattan. A lot of small convenient stores in the area. Room was clean just be prepared for the semi noisy highway near. Not a big inconvenience. We'd definitely be staying here again"

"I had a night stay here with my family while we were visiting Chinatowns around the area, the Brooklyn county side being one of them. Decent rooms. Could be a bit more spacious walking around but I felt extremely comfortable and rested since the beds were nice. Had a great night of sleep since there were very little sounds outside. I would recommend the higher floor rooms as it was where my family were staying. Slept for a whole 10 or so hours. Very worth the price."

"Context for my review: I’m a single, male traveler—able bodied and used to traveling for work; was not looking for luxury or amenities. After reading some of the lower-star reviews I felt I was gambling on this but I’m really glad I took the chance. I’ll get the cons out of the way: the elevator’s a little slow, there was some light construction, and I do think the lobby and common areas are not as secure as some folks might prefer (not in the sense they felt dangerous, just in the sense that—if I wanted to get inside and I wasn’t a guest, it would probably not be hard). The pros: the price to value ratio was killer for New York City; the A/C was super helpful (I visited during a record-setting heatwave); beds are comfortable; my room was clean; the location is convenient—easy access to Industry city, subways, and basic groceries. The best part of my stay was the service. Lily checked me in and out and was friendly and professional. She helped me get into my room early at no cost, remembered my name/business, and made me feel genuinely welcome (not like a customer on the other end of a transaction). She was top notch and immediately made me feel like—whatever reservations I might have had about booking—I made the right choice. I’ve added the hotel to my shortlist and would definitely stay there again."
