"Definitely an outrageously cool and chic hotel! Wow! Ian Schrager strikes again! The escalator is so photogenic and probably the most instagrammable! Loved checking out the place my BF helped build! Getting the tour from someone who helped put the iconic escalators and the metal frames/glass/doors and the lights in the hallways together was quite the in depth look of how gorgeous places are built! Kudos to the behind the scenes army needed to build this piece of art. Easy check in kiosk, the friendliest welcome at check in, beautiful and comfortable rooms, and the best location around!! Truly a magnificent experience!"

"This was my third stay at this incredible hotel, but this time was even more special because I brought my daughter with me — and somehow, the experience managed to exceed every expectation yet again. From the moment I arrived, I was reminded why I keep coming back. The staff didn’t just welcome me warmly — they remembered me by name. That alone speaks volumes about the level of care, attention, and genuine hospitality this hotel embodies. It made me feel seen, valued, and truly special. I must take a moment to recognize the extraordinary team members who made this stay unforgettable: First and most importantly, I want to especially thank Zachary and Ariel- they in fact are the heart of this hotel! Angelo, David, Ricardo and Dalton and his servers were extremely impressive; each of them went above and beyond in ways both big and small. Their kindness, professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Hospitality like this cannot be taught — it comes from the heart, and it shows. The food and drinks were absolutely phenomenal — every bite and sip thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Dining here feels like an experience in itself, not just a meal. And then there’s the rooftop — simply breathtaking. The views are beyond stunning and create a sense of magic that photos could never fully capture. Sitting up there, taking it all in, felt like a moment frozen in time. The igloos deserve a special mention because they are truly straight out of a fairytale. Cozy, magical, intimate, and unforgettable — they add such a unique and enchanting element to the entire experience. What made this stay even more meaningful was sharing it with my daughter. Watching her experience the same warmth, beauty, and magic that keeps me coming back was incredibly special and something we’ll cherish forever. This hotel doesn’t just offer a place to stay — it offers an exceptional experience, built on genuine hospitality, consistency, and heart. Thank you for once again making me feel like more than just a guest. I cannot wait to return — and I already know it won’t be my last visit. ✨ Truly unforgettable. ✨ Warmly and Humbly, LisaBeth"

"I was very satisfied staying here - my room was pretty microscopic but very clean and modern at least. I was most happy with the hotel amenities - for example, the gym is perfection and I loved that I was able to get proper workouts in. I’ll definitely be staying here for future NYC visits. There’s a lot of “third spaces” to make up for the smallness of the rooms, for example a big lobby area on 2 levels you can chill out and work/read etc."

"The hotel was conveniently located near multiple train lines and easy to reach from Penn Station, which was ideal since my partner and I were traveling from Philly. There was plenty to do nearby, and the hotel itself had a lively atmosphere with a couple of bars, a club, and a cafe and pool tables in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and despite initial concerns about the lack of a traditional front desk, we were able to drop off our bags and later check-in with a real person, which was my preference. The room, however, was the biggest disappointment and the main reason for the lower rating. I splurged on a loft room with a “view” for our five-year anniversary, but were placed on the third floor overlooking condos and a parking lot. There was a large noticeable stain on the couch, and very little separation between the bathroom/washroom and the sleeping area. The mostly translucent door/divider left little to the imagination, where you could easily see the toilet and if someone was using it. It also seemed like our room was beneath an ice machine or service area. Throughout the night, there were constant shuffling sounds and loud noises that made it difficult to fall asleep and repeatedly woke me up. This wasn’t typical city noise which I'm otherwise used to. Given the higher price point and the occasion we were celebrating, our stay was a little disappointing"

"I recently stayed at PUBLIC Hotel for a little one-night staycation with a friend, and it completely lived up to the hype. The room was compact but thoughtfully designed, with Japanese-inspired elements that made the space feel modern and calming. I especially loved the platform setup with the two beds side-by-side—simple, stylish, and surprisingly comfortable. The bathroom was another highlight: sleek, clean, and beautifully designed. Just a heads-up that the glass walls make it a very intimate setup, but luckily my friend and I are close enough to laugh about it. One of the biggest perks for me is that the hotel is dog-friendly, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere throughout the entire property is such a vibe—cool, stylish, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. We went up to the rooftop at night, and it was honestly the perfect scene for dancing, having drinks, and taking in the views. Dinner up there was great too. In the morning, we grabbed breakfast downstairs, which had delicious pastries and really solid coffee—exactly what you want after a night out. Overall, PUBLIC feels like a destination in itself, and I’d absolutely stay again."
