"These rooms are very sparse. On one hand, the lack of furniture gives you more floor space than most NYC hotels but on the other hand, the vibe is pretty monastic. Our room had a bed, two small night stands, a desk and a chair. The mini fridge was in the floor. The bathroom felt like one you'd find in a dorm. Everything seemed clean. It's in a great location on the upper west side with easy access to the 2/3 train and options for food but just be prepared for a pretty sparse set up in regards to room ambience and furnishings. If you just need a clean and safe place to lay your head and don't care about ambience and furnishings, then this will fit the bill. It was the cheapest option for the time thst I booked and now I know why!"

"The hotel was in a great location and was exactly what we were looking for during our December stay. Similarly to other reviews, plumbing in the rooms was a little rough, having to play with the shower handles for a few minutes to receive non boiling hot water, sink spewing some non clear water one day, etc. As well as the elevator being a little dirty and dated. However, these are just nitpicks as the service was fantastic!! They allowed us to check in early on day 1, and allowed us to leave our luggage with a luggage check when we had a later flight departing. We received house keeping and new towels and water at the same time everyday. The location was around a 15 minute uber ride, quick 2 stop subway ride, unbeatable for the holidays. Overall, the hotel was exactly what I was looking for, for a good value. I’d recommend this if you’re looking for just a simple home base during your stay."

"The hotel really exceeded my expectations! The staff were courteous and on point from the start to end. The room (two doubles) was clean and spacious. Finally the facilities were classy and the location conveniently located next to a subway stop. The only downsides were the elevator was slow and small and our bathroom door squeaky, all else good."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in New York! The location couldn’t be more convenient—just about 100 yards from the train station, making travel so easy. The rooms were recently renovated, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The overall experience was smooth and pleasant, and we’d definitely love to stay here again."

"I saw the Gold class rooms are recently renovated, the price is acceptable and we needed a twin bed room. So despite of the low ratings, we booked the hotel for 4 nights. It turns out really good. The room is clean and spacious, beds are comfortable. During our stay, it is overall quiet, especially at night. There is a low humming sound but it doesn’t affected us. We stayed in October so no AC is needed. Can’t tell if it would be loud if we leave it on. Staff is easy to talk to and helpful. We drove and parked the car in the parking lot the hotel suggested. We had a guest discount. For 4 days we paid $160 which is not bad in Manhattan. Interesting that the parking lot also got a very low rating. We were worried but it turns out to be alright too!"
