"This place was amazingly comfortable and clean. It has 3 floors with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedroom i stayed in was roomy with large windows, a spacious dresser, and walk in closet. It was quite hot outside while i stayed there, so the room's A/C was great to have. You have to share the bathrooms, but it wasn't a problem since I rarely saw the other guests. The shared kitchen was also nice. The location was perfect since it's close to attractions like Prospect Park and the Brooklyn botanical garden. Something to keep in mind is that there's only one set of keys for each bedroom, so if you're sharing a bedroom with someone and going out to separate places in the city, you'll need to coordinate with the person. Other than that, it's a great place for a great price."

"This is a beautiful old 19th Century home, thoughtfully furnished and decorated to maintain its understated grandeur. If you believe in the impossible - that you can find a clean and spacious place to stay close to NYC on a tight budget, then look no further. It's perfect picture of beautifully aged hardwood floors, stained glass picture windows, palm plants in the shade, and antique dressers but it is not all old world - lot of thought has been put into modernizations that fit perfectly with the style of the house. The showers are luxurious - they look beautiful and deliver copious amounts of high pressure hot water. Its old school class is maintained impeccably. The rooms are spotless, the linen clean, and the beds comfortable. Some people might not be comfortable with the idea of a shared bathroom but it's actually really convenient. Every floor has its own bathroom and my floor only had two bedrooms, and I never saw the other guests on my floor, so it made little difference What I did notice however was that the bathroom was always wonderfully clean. I'm not sure about the breakfast part of the B&B because I didn't seek it out or ask about it, so I can't comment. One thing to be aware of - it's an old house and floors creak, so if you are a light sleeper you might get woken by other guests returning to their rooms. Also, cities are noisy; you're going to hear emergency vehicle sirens and sounds of traffic, as you would in any city home. I kind of like it so it didn't bother me at all - just something to bear in mind. It's very close to the Prospect Park subway on the B and Q lines, getting you into Manhattan in around 40 minutes. if you decide to stay here (and you should), I hope your time is as relaxing and as charming as mine was."

"There are beautiful rooms in the cozy brownstone, mine overlooked the street. There are hardwood floors and large windows in each room. Ms Michelle is a gracious host. She is kind, on time, helpful, and knows her guests needs. There are two bathrooms and one kitchen. Everything was kept clean and stocked. The location in Brooklyn is very central and it’s easy to walk to shops, restaurants and transportation while still having a strong sense of neighborhood. I plan to stay here again. Another review from another guest Michelle K: I want to say that Ms Michelle is the best host ever at this B&B….she greeted me with a big smile and so much positive energy. The place itself was clean and so much history in her home….this is definitely a home away from home….if anyone give less than a 5 in a review….they didn’t visit this place….I came during Labor Day week….the area is so nice and beautiful, you can walk to any restaurant or any store to pick up food, snacks or a bottle of wine. Thank you Ms Michelle for your hospitality and I definitely will be back and stay there again…Keep Smiling! Can you add this post ton your review….Michelle K."

"I am a returning guest and never feel disappointed so I want to write a review for this place. The house is cozy and beautiful. My room is always clean and tidy when I check-in. The shared bathroom is clean and spacious. The kitchen is clean and there are always cold bottles of water in the fridge. And the hostess Michelle is my favorite person as always. She is so kind and friendly and if you need anything please talk directly to her. She will do her best to meet your needs. Forgot to take pictures, which was a shame 😩"

"Beautiful brownstone in great location in Prospect Park (44 Rutland RD, Brooklyn). As long as you don't mind a shared bathroom, this is a great option. On very beautiful, tree-lined quiet street. Housekeeper was very friendly and helpful. NYC high temperature had gone from 45 to 89 in three days, so the a/c widow unit had not yet been reinstalled. Housekeeper had electrician installing the unit in less than half an hour. We will be back!"
