"I stayed here for about 2 weeks and was very satisfied with the experience. The hotel is described as "unfussy" on google which I feel is accurate, it's a simple and functional lodging that should serve all your basic needs. Check in: I did my reservation through Booking and the process of checking in was simple, the front desk people also speak English well so they can answer any questions needed. Room: I was in a one-person room with the queen sized bed, it was actually somewhat spacious even for a big person like me. Unfortunately the view out the window wasn't glamorous at the time due to construction happening across the street; this also meant that there was a lot of noise during the mornings, but the room is fairly soundproof so this wasn't an issue. There is an AC/heater unit but it's weak, opening the window helps with cooling down a lot. Room cleaning service is request by using a touchpad by the door to indicate the room status which was useful, they would make the bed nice, replace all towels, replenish the free soaps, clean the toilet, and take out the trash. The bathroom itself was okay, though I wasn't a big fan of the toilet's low bowl level and the very weak shower water pressure. Location: this hotel is basically at the corner of downtown Flushing, about a 30 second walk to Tangram mall, and a ~10 minute walk to the LIRR which can take you to Manhattan in a little over 20 minutes. I never felt unsafe in our outside the hotel, I've come across a few families staying here during my stay too. For the price, I think this is a good location. Elevator: For some reason, the 2 elevators here take an extra ~10 seconds on floor arrivals for the doors to open. Not a big deal, but something everyone will notice when staying here. Free breakfast is offered from 7:30 - 10 AM but I didn't get around to trying it so I can't comment. The check out process was as simple as check-in, the front desk people make the process fast and easy. If I'm ever in Flushing again, I definitely wouldn't mind staying here again as well. Clean place, reasonably priced"

"We stayed at this hotel during our trip to Flushing and were really happy with our choice. The location couldn’t be more convenient, it’s right on one of the busiest streets, surrounded by great restaurants and even some late-night BBQ stands. Getting around was super easy too. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for four days and three nights. The first night, the room wasn’t very soundproof and we could hear our neighbors arguing, but once we mentioned it to the staff, they took care of it right away. The rest of the nights were much quieter. Occasionally, we could hear airplanes passing by, but it wasn’t a big deal at all. Although some parts of the hotel feel a bit dated, everything was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Considering the price, it’s definitely a great value, we’d happily stay here again next time we visit Flushing!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. My room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. The location is convenient, with easy access to restaurants and transportation. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options. Overall, I felt very relaxed and well taken care of — I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others."

"The adage “you get what you pay for” comes to mind with this place. I felt a bit overcharged for what we got, but it was a decent room. Booked 2 rooms the weekend of a popular concert that led to a lot of hotels/Vrbos being sold out. Beds were decent queens, rooms were decently sized with 2 beds in each. TV, mini fridge, microwave all worked fine. bathrooms were nice but the water pressure was just sad. One room was very humid the whole time and could not solve with opening the window, or adjusting the AC. We asked about moving but they were booked up. The view was great on the 8th floor, but the window was filthy. The front desk was very helpful and kind to us, and almost always had an answer for any questions we had. Parking and airport shuttle were surprisingly low price wise. Location was great for local eateries and activities. We spent most of our time in Manhattan and the transit wasn’t too bad to get to from here (~10/15 min walk)"

"We stayed at John Hotel while in town for a baseball game and overall it was exactly what we expected for the price. The room was clean, simple, and had the standard amenities you would hope for. A nice plus was that breakfast was included which made mornings easy before heading out. The location was convenient since it was about a 20 minute walk to the stadium which worked perfectly for us. The surrounding area is predominantly an Asian community which we really enjoyed because it meant there were plenty of authentic restaurants and late night dining options within walking distance. If you are looking for a reasonably priced stay with the basics covered clean rooms and a good location near the Citi Field stadium John Hotel is a solid choice."
