"The location is ideal if you want to get a quick access to metro station. The breakfast is sufficient and always stocked up quickly. The coffee stays hot 24/7 which is a rare commodity throughout day and night. The room is well equipped with basic amenities."

"We had a great stay at this hotel. We needed lodging near Staten Island but still accessible to the city. This hotel was perfect. Our room was extremely clean. The room was small, but spacious enough for two. The shower had excellent hot water and water pressure. I love the zero waste focus with the toiletries. All the staff we interacted with were lovely. Breakfast is not fancy, but there’s enough to tide you over to avoid getting hangry haha. I felt very safe in this hotel. I researched some others that were a bit cheaper but they were just too dodgy for me. This neighborhood is working class and super busy especially around the subway. The hotel guests were lots of families and some couples. Totally normal clientele from what I saw."

"My husband and I stayed at the Insignia hotel for three nights and four days. We Appreciated the real wheelchair, accessible room, with roll-in shower and grab bars by the toilet. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast in the morning, where we were able to eat cheese danishes, bananas, oatmeal, and have some coffee. The staff is so friendly and kind, we got a chance to talk with Wendy. The hotel is located in Chinatown in Brooklyn, which means it’s surrounded by Delicious, authentic Chinese food. The hotel is also super close to a wheelchair accessible subway station that can take you all around the city! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the Insignia hotel!"

"We just returned from a weekend trip to Brooklyn for a family wedding and stayed three nights at the Insignia Hotel. This is, I think, the fifth time we stayed there and have been very happy with our stays. The staff is so friendly and willing to be of service. I needed a refrigerator for my medication and one was delivered within five minutes of our entering the room. My wife requested an extra bath towel for her hair and was given two on the spot. The bed is always comfortable and the room is spotless. However, every time you moved , the frame made a racket like it went through a war and was falling apart. We both are still sleepers and don't move during the night so it was fine. It only made noise when we got in and out of bed. I can only imagine what the neighboring rooms wondered when they heard the noise. The parking garage is not part of the hotel but the staff is super friendly and helpful. I was cleaning the dust off my car and clearing the windshield of bugs when one of the garage staff came over with a can of tire dressing and did my tires. Every time he saw us, he came over to welcome us, shook my hand and wished us a good day. When we were packing up the car to leave, he came over with a couple bottles of water and wished us a safe trip. My only complaint is the cost for parking. When we first started staying at the Insignia, the charge was $20 a night. Now, it's $30 aa night which was fine. My complaint is an $8 per night surcharge. When a inquired, I was told because I have an SUV and it takes up more room. I said that my vehicle is built on the same platform as an Acura TLX and is not longer. If I had an Escalade or Suburban, I could understand the surcharge. Do I recommend the Insignia, definitely. Will we stay there again, most definitely. My wife is a Brooklyn girl so we return to visit family at least once a year. The Insignia Hotel meets all of our needs."

"Very cozy. Was in for the weekend on business and really enjoyed the stay. Only complaint was there is a upcharge if you drive an SUV and use the parking garage that we weren't told about (was told it was only $30 even when I mentioned having a pickup) but honestly that's not a big deal and it was only a few more bucks. Everyone was incredibly friendly and definitely will stay there again if in town."
