""city view" means highway view. it is overlooking the highway and sounds like it is overlooking the highway. i slept with earbuds it was so noisy. rooms are not nice. thermostat does not work. it includes absolutely no amenities. gratuity is included already in everything (including the drip coffee i bought for $4), but is not explicit. also there are rogue fees, not sure what they are for. there simply have to be better hotels at this price point in this area. this place isnt it. can't recommend and would absolutely not ever come back."

"I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly not to loyal IHG elite members. While this property has potential with an ideal location in the heart of Williamsburg, that’s where the list of positive attributes ends. My recent stay did not meet expectations, particularly given the cost. I redeemed points with a cash equivalent of approximately $425 per night and was informed at check-in that my room was fully covered. However, I was surprised to discover an additional $45 per night “destination fee” added to my folio at checkout. This fee was never mentioned during check-in, and it remains unclear what tangible benefits it provides. As a Diamond Elite guest, I already received breakfast and Wi-Fi, and the website’s mention of a “welcome drink” was neither offered nor would it justify such a charge. In addition, I applied a Confirmable Suite Upgrade certificate, expecting a meaningful upgrade from the standard 335 sq ft room I had reserved. The “Premium City View Balcony” room I received was described as 540 sq ft but was noticeably smaller—likely closer to 240 sq ft—despite offering a balcony and view. Unfortunately, this made the upgrade certificate feel wasted. Overall, I left feeling that the value did not align with the cost or elite recognition typically associated with this brand. Clearer communication and accurate room descriptions would go a long way toward improving the guest experience."

"This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. They had 1200 people on Friday night in their bars and 800 on Saturday night for Halloween parties. The rooms were so loud and affected by the party no one on our floor could sleep. GM was not understanding at all and the hotel felt like a badly run hostel. People for drunk, screaming and running around the lobby. I felt unsafe the whole night and could not sleep. We were there for a wedding block and I have never experienced such poor service from a four star hotel. I’d stay in a motel over staying here again. Beyond expensive for what they offer. Coffee staff in lobby is unpleasant too. They were annoyed I kept ordering juices."

"Overall, the hotel was okay. The main public spaces are nice, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The front desk acknowledged my IHG membership and expressed gratitude for my being a member. Of course, I forgot to take pictures of the restaurant and lounge, but they were really nice. The two get local interest as well as hotel guests. The restaurant has a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. The room was simple, nothing too exciting. The bed was extremely firm, which I am not a fan of, so I didn't sleep well my entire stay and I stayed 5 nights. I also thought the price of the room was way too high for no amenities. But the location is good if you’re doing things in Brooklyn."

"Just exceptional hotel. Great location for walking or parking (one of the best parking spots next door. Easy in and out with no wait even on weekends). Two subway stops next to hotel. Safe even walking with kids after dark. Excellent and thoughtful staff from front desk to cafe to housekeeping. On this note just a few specifics to shout out for any other moms or people who need extra: 1. Housekeeping noticed my placing towels into showers to help my kids not slip - I came back to find they had so thoughtfully put down non slip mats in the shower. Not even requested. That’s just above and beyond to me for my kids safety and comfort. (Friday afternoon crew is awesome) 2. They then also picked up all the dirty laundry my kids had kept tossing about and gave me a hanging laundry bag for it. ❤️ 3. Cafe staff both (weekday and weekend) heated up steamed milk and poured it into my kids bottles. They made excellent coffee with extra cream for me. And were such a delightful smile to start my morning even with two screaming children. It made my day start off so happy. 4. Front desk. Just the happiest and most thoughtful. Every request was answered in a timely manner. They kept bags for me. Answered questions with a smile and gave us so much grace. 5. There’s a huge high fence enclosed outdoor space in the back through the lobby which made outdoor coffee and kids breakfast/running around time so easy and safe. 6. Rooms are huge even fitting a crib or two into them with two beds! Bathrooms excellent. Restaurants open at almost every hour so you can get food or drinks when you need them and fast service. I’m staying here every time with my friends or family whether it’s to go into Williamsburg, Manhattan, or drive to someplace else"
