"The room was small but well-appointed, as you'd expect for Manhattan. The front desk staff were all friendly. Everything was perfectly great for a business trip except for one maintenance issue. The heater in my room had a squeaky belt that meant I couldn't sleep with it on; I had to turn it off right before bed. I told the front desk about the issue on Sunday morning, and the issue was still present (with no follow-up communication) on Wednesday morning when I checked out."

"I had the opportunity to stay at the Henri Hotel on 24th Street in New York. Upon arrival, seeing the small lobby made me a little apprehensive about the room. The staff was very friendly; they welcomed us since we arrived in the early morning and allowed us to leave our luggage until we could check into our room. Upon returning from our first activities, we were pleasantly surprised to find our room—a great size, extremely clean and tidy, and a bathroom in perfect condition with delicious hot water. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant, staffed by very attentive people, and the food is top-notch. Congratulations on the excellent service; we promise to return!"

"I arrived at this hotel a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but it turns out I had a pleasant stay at Sonder. Staff aren’t too visible, but they communicated check in information via email prior to our arrival and we were able to access our rooms without an issue. The rooms are small, but this wasn’t a problem as we spent most of our time outside of the hotel sightseeing. The location of this hotel is excellent: it’s steps away from Madison Square Park and the Flatiron District, several subway stations, and the Eataly market. We found other great restaurants and bars within blocks of the hotel. The neighbourhood was relatively quiet, clean, and felt very safe. Housekeeping came once to make our bed on Sunday afternoon (the second day of our visit), and replaced our bath mat and garbages. Everything was clean. I would certainly consider staying here again: a great choice for a more budget friendly hotel in Midtown Manhattan."

"The rooms are TINY. There is no couch and the desk and chair barely fit in the room. The tv has no cable, so if you don’t have access to streaming services you’re screwed. They didn’t regularly replace/give new water bottles and towels. The receptionist is almost always gone, especially at night. We were locked out of our rooms for more than thirty minutes, with no one to help us. This place does not feel like a real hotel, there is so much self-service and minimal guest aid. I couldn’t wait to leave. Only the location was good. I expected more from a hotel by marriot. This SUCKED."

"We stayed at the Sonder for our honeymoon and we loved it! Ben who worked on reception was brilliant during our entire stay. He was so helpful and kind. We were moved to the 17th floor which is under the roof terrace, it was slightly noisy during the Wed-Fri opening hours but by the time we went to sleep it was quiet. You get a discount at the restaurant next door which is great and we got given $50 gift cards from Sonder/Ben for our honeymoon which was a really lovely touch. If you need extra towels and toilet roll etc, you can just get them from reception. We didn’t go without anything. Had no issues with our stay and would 100% come back!"
