"We should have read the reviews before booking. The hotel offers hourly rates, which explains a lot about the environment. The front desk staff was different every day, with no consistency or professionalism. The fifth floor reeked of cigarette smoke, and there was nonstop noise from doors opening and closing all night. Location was good and accesible for public transportation to go to manhattan."

"Where do I begin? The pictures in the site do not show that this is an HOURLY HOTEL, with the reception desk litteraly behind plate glass!! Also this luxurious destination sits just accros the street from the notorious Fort Greene housing projects. The room was offcourse small, just big enough to fit a bed. I never dared to try the shower, but was shocked that the TV would only show a white screen with a large black line down the side. Let me throw in the fact that the window was also broken. But wait, the best part was a rude Indian dude, who I mentioned these issues to the day before, was there to greet me, by opening the room door at exactly 11:05 to tell me it was check-out time and I needed to leave right now. This shouldn't of been a surprise because a few hours earlier another guest cursed him out for doing the exact same thing. I only know this because of the combination of yelling, cursing and thin walls, all at 8 am of course. I guess they only paid for the 4 hour package."

"My bestie and I stayed here for a weekend and honestly served it's purpose. It's 2 star hotel so not sure why anyone expects 5 star. I wouldn't stay there long term for sure for for a quick weekend it was nice. The location was close to metro. There was a lot of good food options down the block. Some people mentioned a lot of homeless but I didn't see anything crazy more then the normal new York vibe. We were two females and felt comfortable walking around the area even at night. The front desk John was super helpful as well. Overall enjoyed the stay."

"I dont know who else others have talked to regarding staff. But both guys i spoke with at check in and check out were very nice. As for the rooms, even if the beds are stained there's a protective cover over them, clean sheet and ok pillows. My only complaint is there was like a hole in the bathrooms ceiling stuffed with im assuming paper towels. If i were to have stayed in NY longer, I would go else where. But the hotel does what it needs for a short stay"

"The area is NOT sketchy, its just an underpass! Dont listen to the other comments!! The bodega next door was lovely the dude made a mean sausage and and cheese on a roll. The front desk guy was kind. Yes he is behind bullet proof glass ... but hey its a 2star hotel what do you want?!!? My biggest complaint was the bed was hard as a ROCK. It was a king size bed, the room was small but pretty clean. Honestly this hotel does what it needs (is a place to sleep) for a great price!!! Id stay there again!"
