"We loved staying here! From checking in, to the breakfast, clean and spacious room and bathroom, we enjoyed every minute in this b&b. Arthur and Faye were very hospitable and gracious hosts. Can’t wait to be back!"

"I was visiting the area with my gf for an event and we needed a place to stay. The host was rude and agitated from the start. When he showed us the bedroom and amenities I asked about the logistics of our stay in relation to other guests(sharing a small patio room, passcodes, bathroom, etc). He erupted. Exclaiming, "Why do you ask so many questions! I've never been asked these kinds of questions before...please ONLY ask questions related to your stay here!" I explained that, "We've never used a bed and breakfast before, so we want details for sharing spaces with the other guests...." I thought I was being reasonable, especially if we're sharing one bathroom per floor and an adjacent, unlocked, room connected to our bedroom. He replied with a condescending chuckle, “You should be lucky we allow you to stay here! We don’t usually do ‘one night stay’. We’re doing you a favor.” He showed us the keys for the room and asked if we wanted water. I said “No, thanks” as there were two bottles of water in the fridge, but he insisted and proceeded to head out the room to retrieve a pitcher. However, before he could reach the steps, I asked, “You mentioned the keys are for the room and the house. Which key unlocks what?” He gave me a smirk and said, “I don’t know, you’ll have to try it yourself.” “You don’t know?” “Just try them.” As he slowly heads out the room and heads to the steps to get water for us. I grabbed the pair of keys. One had a silver body and a red plastic cover around the base and the other was a plain silver key. I inserted the latter of the two into our bedroom door and it worked fine. As the host is slowly navigating downstairs, he notices me using the silver key and suddenly remembers, “Oh! The red one should unlock the house then.” I wasn’t confident about his sudden realization of this information, so I quickly switched to the red covered key and also inserted it into our bedroom door with success. BOTH keys unlock our bedroom…Seems like a security risk. I closed the door to speak privately and we’re already unsatisfied with the treatment and defensiveness of the host. He eventually came up with the pitcher of water and knocked on the door. I opened it wide. I saw him pour water into the pitcher on the nearby table and handed it to me at the door. As I set it down on the night stand in our bedroom, the host makes an inappropriate comment about my girlfriend's age. We are in our mid-twenties, one year apart. I won’t comment on exactly what he said, but it was enough for us to quickly plan our escape from his residence. He essentially implied if she was old enough to stay here, with a sly grin on his face. Commented back claiming how odd of a question that was and he said, “Just making sure. Enjoy your stay”. After I closed the door, we immediately looked for nearby hotels for the night. We were not staying there. Maybe we met the host on an off day, but the reception was not welcome. I’d warn anyone from casually staying at the residence if they want to be comfortable and secure."

"We enjoyed our stay with Phillip and Faye. It felt homey. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed meeting other guests. If you are arriving late, make sure you know your room number, not just the name. For example, Hibiscus is #3. Otherwise you will be a bit lost trying to find your room."

"We highly recommend A and Faye. We booked the entire bed and breakfast for 5 days in March 2024 for my son's wedding at the Picnic House in Prospect Park. The location was perfect. Every room was extremely comfortable and it is obvious Phil and Faye pay close attention to every detail. Every room had every amenity and toiletry, etc. we could have possibly needed. The highlight of every day was the breakfast and the chance to visit with Phil. He is very charming and witty and provides a delightful start to every day."

"Excellent! The B&B is easy to get to from the airport by road and around a 7 minute walk to the nearest Subway station -Church Avenue. Mr Phil and Ms Faye (I call them Mr & Ms out of respect) are such a lovely welcoming couple. Mr Phil is full of wisdom and is a great conversationalist which was really lovely for me because I was alone on this trip so it was nice to have someone to talk to. My room and bathroom were impeccably clean and very, very spacious. I've stayed in many hotels in NYC and none of the rooms/bathrooms were as large as these. I had a fully stocked bathroom with a plethora of full-sized toiletries including make up removal wipes which were a nice touch. I also had lovely robes and towels provided. The free breakfast was delicious every day and made fresh for me when I came down to eat each morning. I ate alone most days and the grand dining table was laid out so beautifully for me every day, I felt like a Queen! On my last day I was joined by a couple of other people for breakfast and we were treated to a traditional Trinidadian breakfast and Mr Phil playing the steel pan while we ate. I had an amazing stay and I felt very comfortable especially as a solo Black woman. I highly recommend A & Faye Bed and Breakfast."
