"Amazing location. Nice room decor. Great beds. Heated bathroom floor. And that’s it. Do not book the STANDARD rooms!! They are tiny and natural light is limited. I changed rooms as there was barely any outside light coming in (6th floor overlooking a dark backyard hole). Got another standard room on the same floor with more lights that was acceptable. There is an overpriced mini bar and snacks (thats fine) but it takes away precious space in the room. No chair and no desk in the standard rooms. There is no coffee maker/water kettle in the room. I asked for one and front desk sent up, a big coffee maker, which was wonderful. Mood lighting in room is nice and warm. Windows cannot be opened in the room. The bathroom windows can be opened if you climb up and pull it down. Shower curtain rod (straight and not curvy like at other hotels) limit your space in the tub. Or curtain is too short and water comes out. They charge a daily facility fee (resort fee), which is outrages as it includes local land line calls and wifi. Note to managment: we dont mind paying some extra for extra service (daily Newspaper, bike rental, morning coffee, coffee in the room, etc). There is no gym at this hotel and they do not offer passes to gyms outside. I peeked into a suite with a bedroom and living area that was wonderful with full of natural light. So again, refrain from booking a standard room. Deluxe/Superior/Suite is the only way to to here. Othervise go to a chain hotel that offers free coffee, breakfast, internet, etc."

"Pros: The hotel on the outside and inside entrance are beautiful. I love the low lightening instead of walking in blind. The front desk receptionist was very sweet and directed us to the elevators. The room I had was nice, clean, and almost had everything I needed. The pillows, sheets and comforter was clean (blue light used), and the comforter was thick so I wasn’t freezing while the room was cold. Being at this hotel puts you in the middle of EVERYTHING & I mean EVERYTHING, so there are a lot of options to choose from. Cons: The mini fridge didn’t work so everything was cold, the shower had horrible water pressure and the entire bathroom floor gotten wet. Also there was only boiling hot water coming from the shower, no cold water. I had to wash up from the sink (that’s a no no). I tried to call the front desk but there were any number listed on the in room phone or even phone list. After returning from my appointment, I was going to speak with the front desk but she had a lot of people trying to check in. There’s only one very small trashcan in the bathroom, I’m order to flush the toilet all the way I had to hold the flusher down (idk what it’s called), it would be nice to have small microwave in the room also. With that being said I would stay there again of the shower issue got handled because honestly it’s not a bad hotel at all and the staff were very nice. Also this was a free trip so I didn’t have to pay for the hotel 😉 but I do think it’s worth the price, if the shower issues is resolved."

"This is not an "upscale" hotel at all! I booked a studio king room with a balcony and was given an extremely small cramped room with no extra seating furniture to qualify it as a studio. Not a single chair to even sit on! The room was just barely wide enough to fit the bed. Our friends are also staying here and also booked a studio king room with a balcony. Their room is more than twice the size of ours and it has a couch, two sets of extra plush, comfortable seating chairs with tables as well as an extra separate second shower. I believe I was given a standard king room and unfortunately charged $1313 for two nights for a studio room that I did not receive. I contacted the front desk staff who were curt and rude and essentially told me that the room I had was indeed a studio king, when it is obviously not. This is a shame as I travel to NYC frequently and was hoping to make this hotel my new go-to place to stay. For two people staying for three days we were given one (!) Hand towel in the bathroom for two people for a 3 day stay, and only 2 wash cloths and two bath towels. The refrigerator was warm and smelled terrible. The sprayer wand in the shower didn't work. There are no plug sockets in the walls - we had to search high and low and finally discovered a plug hidden in the back shelf on the inside of each night stand. Tremendous disappointment on so many levels! The only good thing about this hotel is the central location which is extremely convenient."

"I have stayed at this hotel twice: Once in 2022 and again Sep 10-12, 2025. The location is perfection. You are close to everything high end, mall, Whole Foods, cafes, restaurants, as well as the park. Plus, the Sundry restaurant is a little gem next door and can't be missed. The HOTEL: I agree, it is very dark decor throughout. The rooms are hit and miss: Even if you book a King Bed/suite, you never know what you'll get. The first time I was here, the king bed and room were spacious - amazing! This second time in 2025, we got a King but it was a corner room and you could not move within it. Very cramped, lacked shelving, lacked desk space, lacked plugins for charging, lacked a proper closet. The mattresses are hard as a rock. Absolute nightmare overall during this trip (Sep 2025). BEWARE THE SHOWERS: Both the sink taps and the shower itself spray water everywhere! The water pressure is insane. I feel terrible because I kept having to throw towels down everywhere on the floor to mop up the water and not slip, and kept asking for more. Also, the plumbing noise is very loud. A neighbor had a shower at 8 am and I swear I though the pipe burst above me because the noise was so loud in my room, it woke me up. I agree with others, there is a weird smell of smoke? Cigarettes? throughout the place. However, I would stay here again and again because of the location. I highly recommended it, but there are some items you'll just need to put up with!"

"Sadly, terrible experience. Although this hotel has great potential… The location is great, and the rooms are fine… The service is not. We’ve stayed there several times… But no more. Our last experience was beyond disappointing. It began the first day we arrived – when we asked whether there was a way to get in to the hotel without dragging our suitcases up the stairs… there was no door man to help. My husband and I are both over 65 and so we went to the front desk to ask - Thinking maybe there was a thinking, maybe there was a side entrance or something. The front desk staff acted as if we were a huge pain to bother him. He did help, but it was not very pleasant. That experience was followed a few hours later by calling down and asking for an ironing board and iron because there wasn’t one in the room… It took multiple calls and several hours before one eventually arrived.… the housekeeping staff is lovely by the way so they should be acknowledged. But the worst came at the end… We had parked our suitcases with the hotel while we went to lunch… We came back and asked for the bags because we had to get to the train station… We waited for several minutes before we realized that the gentleman we had asked for our bags hadn’t gone to get them - instead he was standing chatting with the front desk person - laughing about something they watched or some event… When we went up to ask about our bags, they were both rude to us. It was remarkable and uncalled for. I asked to speak to the manager …. A seemingly nice young woman, who seemed to have no power. This all happened over the weekend, of course. On Monday I called to speak to a general manager – and left a message because no one answered… And no one ever called back. Whoever owns this hotel should look into Investing in your management. Such a shame."
