"We arrived around 10pm and were given our room keys. Upon going into the room, we realized there was no pillows to sleep on, 1 towel and room was dirty. We found black marks on the covers and upon checking closer, there was hair under the covers, meaning the room was clearly not ready and not cleaned. We went to the reception, the new employee who was alone on night shift on his 3rd day of work, did not know how to change the room in the system. His collegues had just given him a bunch of room keys with guests name assigned to them. The employee decided to give us another set of keys for a room that was assigned to someone else. We went in, it was a room for people with restricted mobility. Shower floor was dirty and there was a smell. We told the employee and he came to check it out. He was embarrassed but didn't know what to do as he had no contact to reach to in case of emergency. We left the hotel and started to look and finally found one right before midnight at 3x the price. Before leaving, we informed the rep at the reception we wanted a reimbursement, he didn't know how to do it but said he left notes for the manager coming tomorrow. The next day we called expedia and explained the situation. They called the hotel and the hotel declined the reimbursement per their policy. I guess their policy is to keep your money when they provide you with a dirty one. We have photo proof of how dirty they were and will be updating this review. My wife and I are still debating our case with Expedia so we will be updating this review with the photo proofs eventually. Avoid at all cost. Building is new from the outside. Rooms are nothing like the photos they advertise."

"Not sure why this hotel is not rated higher on Google. We stayed 3 nights during our vacation and loved the room (bedroom with kitchenette and sofa bed). It was clean, price was right, shower was amazing, AC was amazing (AC in Europe is always hit-and-miss but this was great AC. We’re from Canada and really appreciate it!). The hotel is just a 15min walk from city center. They also have interior parking (albeit a bit expensive, but very nice and clean). Honestly one of the best hotel we had for the price during our trip."

"This hotel in Provence has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The equipped kitchen, washing machine, and coffee maker are great perks. Plus, everything in the hotel seems very new and well-maintained, which is a big plus. However, the one significant drawback is the sewage smell we noticed in our room. Despite this, the hotel has a lot of potential, and with some improvement in this area, it could easily reach 5 stars. Recommendation:* If you value convenience and practicality, this hotel is a good choice. Just be sure to request a room that doesn't have issues with the sewage smell."

"I stayed here with my girlfriend for one night. Located near the central station and a 20 minute walk to the bus terminal which brings you to the TGV terminal and the airport. The staff was very friendly based on the little interaction we had with them. The rooms are small but ours had a small kitchenette which was helpful. The refrigerator is a little loud in the night but passable. The biggest issue was the raw sewage stench coming from the bathroom. It was unbearable and needs to be addressed. We had to hold our breath when using the shower, sink and toilet. It never went away in the 18 hours we were there. Building management needs to have the sanitary system modified to correct the issue because no hotel should smell like this. The toilet at the bus terminal smelled far better than the one in our room."

"Very spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed, decent cupboard space, pretty view of the park, and a well-stocked kitchenette! We really enjoyed our stay here. I wish we'd made more use of the kitchenette but it was very useful on a Sunday when so many places close in Aix. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and our room was clean. Location is very good, a short walk away from the main activity which made for quieter nights. You can also walk through the park to get to Mirabeau."
