"The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is also cheap, so you basically get what you pay for. The staff are friendly. The tile in the bathroom is painted over to give the illusion it is new and fresh in the photos, but once you step inside you realize it is cheap paint that is peeling. The grossest thing of all were the towels 🤢How expensive can it be to replace them with new ones?!? We decided to use t-shirts instead of them. Unacceptable. The shower curtain was useless. The bathroom would flood all the time. The bedding was okay. Hallway is old and tired."

"This is actually a hotel that has been here since 1972. It recently went throguh the renovation to bring it up today. The newy installed lawn from the garden makes huge different. All the rooms are small, yet tastfully done. The location is excellent, parking right next to hotel which makes it extremely convient for old town. Walking down the street is the old town. Many options for food and drinks day and night. I really enjoy it and would love to come back here again!"

"This is a gem! The long entrance into reception is like Alice in Wonderland…kinda psychedelic 😀😵‍💫. Once inside the garden is such a respite from the bustling city. The Luxury street view room is good size and love the garden suite. Staff are great in every way. Warm and hospitable! We asked for assistance to allocate room due to mobility issue, it was granted with an email away. Sure it’s 2 stars without elevator and a few amenities, but hey…it great place! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼"

"I asked for a room without noises, and the room was super calm and very big and beautiful literally three minutes walking from the Cathedral. The rooms were refurbished recently and the hotel look new. Also service is great: they printed my boarding pass for free and helped me with responses on local transport."

"I don't usually book a two-star hotel but I was attracted by the photo of the garden, which I assumed was tiny. It's not. I also assumed I'd be a difficult distance outside the old city. I wasn't. AND I got to stay inside my budget! Breakfast is served in the garden -- a basket of bread and croissant, butter and jam and a madeleine and a yogurt and a pot of coffee. You can sit and read in the garden or in the sitting room between the reception area and the garden. I splurged on a double room, although I was travelling alone, and I recommend you do that, if you can afford it, because you get a larger room. The gentlemen who manned the desk and served breakfast were lovely, efficient and helpful. All in all a much better experience than my stay in the town's "boutique" 4-star. Hotel Paul is best two-star I've ever seen!"
