"The hotel has a great location in the center of Aix-en-Provence, although because of that, even after receiving a room that was supposed to be sheltered from street noise, I could still hear various sounds. What made sleeping especially difficult were the noises coming from other rooms, as the walls seem to be paper-thin, and the constant door slamming was quite disruptive. Breakfast is served in the restaurant downstairs. It’s decent, but extremely loud and chaotic, as people from the street also come in to eat there, which makes the atmosphere far from relaxing. Parking is available, but you need to provide your license plate number in advance, otherwise access can be complicated. The spa is modest but fine, and costs an additional €30. However, even though the hotel advertises it as a one-hour private reservation with full privacy, it turned out that another couple was inside at the same time, which was disappointing and not what was promised."

"The only truly wonderful thing about this hotel is the view. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but with clear signs of long use. We stayed at this hotel twice, and the location in the very center is extremely convenient. A pleasant English-speaking woman assisted us, but the rest of the reception staff on another shift behaved very rudely. At check-in we left a €300 cash deposit, and at check-out the receptionist rushed to inspect the room (there was nothing to complain about, we didn’t touch bar nor called room service). However, she shamelessly decided to invent that there was a smell of cigarettes in the room (WE DON’T SMOKE). Returned she then whispered in French to her colleague—we understood thanks to our language skills—that her intention was not to return the deposit. We managed to defend ourselves and prove the unfair accusation, this experience left no desire to return. The staff are the very people who make a hotel feel alive and welcoming, and Negrecoste still has a lot of work to do in this regard."

"Amazing location. Rooms very standard. The lift was out and we were on the 4th floor - good for our cardio - hard with bags. Had a few minor issues that were resolved very quickly. The restaurant was great for breakfast and service was great."

"Fantastic stay! The location is right in the center of everything. Great value for the price. Parking is available for an extra fee. The staff was super friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a brand new room. I was unsure at first because of some past reviews, but I’m really glad I booked. 5 stars all the way!"
