"Shameful! When the H2O room leaked... The night had started well, with the air conditioning off, I lay down in bed and there were incessant vibrations in the ceiling and the wall behind and above the bed, all the way into the bathroom. At 12:30 a.m., I tried to call reception in vain. The phone didn't work. Tired and with a cold, I didn't have the strength to pull myself together and go downstairs. The next day, after a truncated night, I took a shower with my hair down. When I got out of the shower, I noticed that the room was flooded, right down to the bed and living room. I found myself mopping up the water with towels, a bathrobe, a bedspread, and pillowcases. This was unheard of in a 4-star hotel costing €200 a night! On a business trip, I hurried as best I could to get dressed with my feet wet and find a dry place where I could use my hairdryer. When I went down to reception, I recounted these unpleasant events to the hostess, who was surprised and dared to tell me in passing that the combination of water on the floor and hair dryer wasn't risky! Lunatic! And what's more, I had to go downstairs (naked and wet, of course!) to warn them... knowing that I had clearly stated that the phone wasn't working. In short, a hotel to avoid at all costs. Shameful!!! The bill was reduced to a final price of €150 (excluding breakfast). Unheard of, considering I stay in a hotel every week!"

"We received a very warm welcome both on the phone and in person. We were upgraded to a lovely suite with a sunny terrace. The bedding was very comfortable, although the housekeeping could be improved. I recommend this hotel. However, the service at the brasserie for the included breakfast was poor. I had to raise my voice after a 20-minute wait; there weren't many customers, and the waiters were indifferent. The hotel itself is very good and well-located, with excellent staff."

"First is location! The hotel situated in the very center of the city in pedestrian zone. Thus you are in the maelstrom right you're out of the hotel doors. From another hand it's difficult to get there by car - so you call the receptionist and they come out to open the entrance with residential access card. Parking is prohibited from 23:00 to 07:00. And for 20 Euro only the hotel driver takes your car to the night parking and brings it back in the morning by needed time. It's very convenient! The rooms are highly stylish! Each room is named after famous person (Pablo Picasso, Emile Zola, etc.) and is designed individually! We lived in Darius Milhaud room - very well decorated with violin theme on the glass bathroom wall. Next door there is hammam. Hammam usage is free of charge for the hotel guests. I paid a deposit for booking. There were absolutely no problems with it at final bill compilation. The front-desk manager Marc is very intelligent and helpful young man. I enjoyed staying at Hotel de Gantes and I recommend it for Aix-en-Provence explorers!"

"Be careful with this hotel! Even after I canceled my room within the stipulated timeframe, they still charged my credit card. Fortunately, I checked my statement, otherwise I would have lost over 700 euros. If you booked a room at this hotel, you should check your credit card. Be careful of this hotel! They try to charge your credit card even if you have canceled the room. Check your bank statement! If you ever booked this hotel, you need to check your bank statement!"
