"I stayed here 2 nights despite having read all the 1 star reviews about customer service and other issues. Bad decision. Here is what happened on April 25 in the afternoon/early evening around 6pm. Earlier that day, after checking out, I left my luggage with the reception and a young gentleman said with a smile, “no problem you can pick it up whenever you want, we are always here.” Since wait times for uber in Aix are sometimes longer than in other larger cities (up to 12-15 min at times), I booked mine as I was coming back to the hotel to pick up my luggage. When I arrived, I found the reception closed because the receptionist, according to the sign left on her desk, was “attending to other clients”. See photo attached. No contact info of any sort at all. I waited 10 mins. Nothing. More people started to gather at the reception. 15 mins. Nothing. My uber arrived and the driver warned me that I will be charged for each minute of delay (eventually I had to cancel it). 20 mins pass. Nothing. Finally, about 25 mins later the receptionist arrives, walking in ever so slowly. She seems surprised to see that many people at the reception (by that point there were about 4 of us). I give her the piece of paper with the number corresponding to my luggage that they gave me earlier and explain my situation, pointing to the uber driver who by that point was also by the entrance. She says that “she doesn’t like my tone” and that she “now needs to see my ID because she doesn’t know who I am” deliberately trying to delay me even more. She states that she has a “10 hour shift and can take breaks as she feels” and that if I have a problem I can “speak to her boss.” When asked why the sign didn’t mention anything about a break but “attending to other customers” her answer, again, “speak to my boss!” Luckily my train wasn’t leaving imminently and I just had to pay the uber driver for the canceled ride. But imagine what would have happened if my train WERE really leaving shortly! According to the receptionist, I could speak to her boss about the uber fees because… “it already HAPPENED BEFORE and they were refunded.” So, this seems to be a pattern? Ultimately, after explaining everything to Uber, they refunded the cancelled ride. In any event, be forewarned if you decide to stay here: 0 customer service, 0 professionalism or seriousness. Apparently, the ONLY thing that Odalys seems to value is their employees’ break times."

"Wouldn’t recommend it. Our room was full of mold, especially the bathroom. They covered it up so it’s not visible on the pictures but the smell was very strong. It was a horrible experience to take a shower with this smell. However, the staff was very kind and helpful."

"The room is very nice and spacious. The location is not very good. It's far from nearly everything, and you need to take a bus or walk for 30 minutes to find a place to eat."

"A perfect place to stay in Aix-en-Provence. A bus ride to the city is easy and frequent. The facilities are comfy and allow you to cook and eat in your apartment with ease. A grocery store is about two blocks away. Parking available. Breakfast is good. Everything you need to make travel relaxed and comfortable."

"spacious! stock up the fridge for all you need, it's a completely equipped apartment with kitchen for you to make your meal. lift is spooky and walkway is lighted up with dimmed yellow lights. walk a certain distance to flixbus station, as there is no bus ride in odd hours."
