"The owner was very kind and finished the work quickly, which I appreciated. But I am honestly heartbroken by how my shoes were returned. I brought in several brand-new designer shoes, around $1000 each (Valentino and Louboutin), to have protective soles added before my wedding. Every pair was pristine and had never been worn, and now they all show signs of damage. While the soles themselves are fine, the work around them is extremely sloppy. There are glue splatters, uneven edges, and rough finishes that completely ruin the clean lines of the shoes. Most upsetting of all, there is a deep cut on my wedding-day shoes, the ivory Valentinos. Seeing that damage on shoes I bought specifically for my wedding was devastating. I usually love supporting small businesses and truly wanted to have a good experience here, but I cannot recommend Yakub Shoe Repair unfortunately. The lack of care and attention to detail on such expensive, sentimental items was deeply disappointing."

"Back in May, Yakub took great care in adding some Vibram outsoles to my loafers. I asked for advice on the height of the outsole and he suggested going for a lower height allowing for a timeless but stylish look. They turned out great and for a fair price! An added bonus was fast turnaround, I came back the next day, same time and they were done!"

"Yakub did an amazing job repairing my tabi ballerina flats. Before taking them in, the soles and heels of the shoes were nearly destroyed but he did an excellent job on rebuilding them and making them like new. I am very happy with the results!"

"I think I am really lucky to find this place! I should have brought my tabi ballerina before wearing them but Yakub saved the sole with magic hands and took him only less than 20 minutes after I walked in with my shoes on. 10 out of 10! Also the price is very reasonable comparing to other places I know."
