"Took Culinary 102: Croissant class - savory leek and pain chocolat. A really fun and instructive morning. Timing and prep all very well done, and delicious end products. Good attention to detail, and practical help on hand from the chef's assistant when our group was struggling to produce the required perfect rectangle of dough!"

"The TAKE & BAKE: SALTED CARAMEL LATTICE-TOP APPLE PIE Class was AWESOME!!! Liz is the best instructor chef / teacher / instructor ever! I loved this class, just in time for Thanksgiving. It was perfect for a Sunday morning. We did every step during this class, but there were also multiples of the ingredients prepared, because as we learned, one pie takes 4 lbs of apples! It was so great to learn how to prepare the apples, make the dough from scratch, make the caramel and fill the pie so we could take it home to bake. Perfect class, plus got to keep the ceramic pie dish. Highly recommend this class. It is my second class I have taken at Sur La Table, and I will definitely be back for another. Thank you to Liz and other Chefs and Store Team. This was a well-worth it class! I really enjoyed, plus, I like learning a little history about apples/pies during the class too!"

"Pros: 1. It's an experience. Super interactive and the instructors are helpful 2. If you don't know anything about cooking this is a wonderful beginnings class that can help you understand your way around the kitchen 3. After the class the email you all the recipes and you get 10% off the items in store. Cons- 1. It's pricey. $99 pp. i booked for 2 ppl. 2. The portions are small! It's 4ppl per station and everything is split amount the group.9/10 you probably won't know the other ppl in the group unless you booked a reservation for 4, so just be mindful that sharing will be caring during the class. For example, I booked the steak night and between the group of 4 we had to split 1 NY strip steak. Also the steak was cooked medium rare! I'm not sure if you could request something different but that's what all groups got. For the overall price, when protein is involved there should always be more. 3. They don't offer wine or soft drinks. I think for the price some sort of drink should be offered. 4. You are on your feet the whole time (this isn't a bad thing) but after dinner you will be eating at the same station. Overall it is a good class, especially because they offer so many different themes but the portioning threw me off so bad. I literally had to get something to eat after the class.I do think you could find a better deal for something similar in my opinion."

"My granddaughter and I used the gift card I gave her for Christmas. The class was chocolate extravaganza. We made delicious desserts, nutella gelato, brownies with waltnuts and moose. Emily was our chef and very professional. We purchased 2 aprons that were on sale. Very informative and enjoyable."

"Took two wonderful classes with Liz at the store in NYC and had so much fun! The course is the perfect amount of time to cover a few different things and was informative and well paced. I will definitely sign up for more classes in the future. The group size makes it so everyone can get a little one on one time. All the food we baked was delicious!"
