"I have made a few visits to S&S this year, trying on multiple boots to decide on the perfect pair for me. I had spoken to each staff member, and every single one of them was patient, kind, and no-nonsense. Not to mention how well they understood their products. Yesterday I purchased my first goodyear welted boot, and I have not felt an ounce of regret since. One of thr best in-store shopping experiences in the city!!"

"I ordered a pair of Unsung House X Standard and Strange collab engineer boots. I had made a mistake with my sizing and contacted Standard and Strange regarding this. Charlie Dargan was an absolute gem with his customer service. He offered a refund even though it was my fault for not checking my sizing thoroughly beforehand. Then when he heard that I still really wanted the boots even though they didn’t initially offer them in my size, he went to the trouble of contacting Unsung House about making a pair in my size. Unsung House was kind enough to agree. Throughout the back and forth of emails, Charlie remained nothing but kind, thoughtful, professional and amazing. Fast forward to getting the boots, and they’re absolutely great! Super, super thanks to Charlie of Standard and Strange and Unsung House"

"My favorite clothing store! A curated collection of 20th century inspired clothing made with an artisan's eye. Icons on a small scale -- gorgeous thick fabrics and leathers with rugged stitching that give weight to my appearance. I've had the pleasure to buy John Lofgren boots, Freenote Cloth denim, Loopwheel, & The Real McCoys T's and knits -- all stuff made in US and Japan. Kyle was the last sales rep to help me and he was lovely."
