"Visiting NYC for a thanksgiving and needed a quick shine near our hotel close to Grand Central. Just a quick walk to 2nd Ave to Shoe Repair and Shoe Shine. Joseph, the owner, was welcoming, professional and did a great job on my shoes and my son’s boots. Fantastic shine, felt like I was walking out of the Buster Brown store with a new pair of shoes. "Broke my heel walking down the sidewalk and he fixed it in about 30 seconds flat. Didn’t have cash so he told me just to come back whenever. So amazingly nice and helpful."

"for shoe polishing, he painted the soles in a careless way. He said he would fix the scratch from a shoe but then the paint he used wasn’t remotely near the same color as my shoe. If you value speed, go to him. If your shoes are expensive, don’t."
