"Would give them 6 stars The price was correct for the work they did, and I didn’t have to mail off my boots for serious rework. I hate mailing things. They resoled my wolverines and a nice pair of fryes I got thrifting. The wolverines had worn down to the middle sole (maybe?) and it felt like walking on wet soil. Whatever they did fixed them. I was fortunate that they put a lugged sole on the fryes, which was what I wanted but I forgot to ask. So far they are prefect for looking pretty and walking fast and kicking jerks, and somehow more comfortable, so not sure how that happened. I think the choice they made to use mink oil was also perfect, I was totally planning on wearing them in the rain and wrecking the unconditioned leather."

"During my initial visit to this establishment, I inadvertently dropped my shoes for repair. Having visited previously to gain an understanding of their services, I believed they possessed the necessary expertise based on our conversation. However, I was mistaken. I had dropped a pair of Tricker’s shoes, a renowned and esteemed shoe brand. Upon dropping them off, the individual who accepted the shoes did not inquire about my preferred repair method or recommend suitable materials for these shoes. Instead, they requested a deposit. In my mind, I assumed they were professionals with the requisite knowledge, but I was once again mistaken. On the day I dropped off my shoes, I was informed that they would be ready by Thursday. Upon my arrival on Thursday, I discovered that the shoes were still not prepared. I was informed that they would be ready within an hour, but I was unable to return within that timeframe. Consequently, I returned the following day, only to find that the shoes were still not ready. I repeated this process on subsequent days, each time discovering that the shoes were still not prepared. Finally, on Wednesday, almost a week, and after numerous visits, I was informed that the shoes were ready. However, as promised, they were not shined. The individual who informed me of the shining did not actually perform them. Despite their assurances of expertise, I was certain that the shoes were not shined. I retrieved my shoes and departed from the store. The employees at the store did not offer any apologies or gratitude for my patronage. This lack of professionalism further fueled my decision to refrain from returning. I paid $60 for the repair and shining services. In conclusion, I found the experience to be highly unsatisfactory. The employees exhibited a lack of professionalism, and failed to provide the promised services. I would give this store a negative 10, and zero star rating if possible."

"Disappointed. Weird times for sure. I went in for a shoe repair and was ready to proceed, however I was asked for full payment before the work was completed. Typically drop off and payment upon pickup. The issue here is that there were two customers before me whose items were tagged and given a pickup date/receipt with no question of payment. Was this due to being a Black customer? When I raised the question I did receive an apology and then was told not to worry to pay upon pickup but the damage was already done. Fair treatment for all, please and thank you."

"I took my vintage Chanel bag here for a cleaning. They did a great job cleaning the leather without any damage. I also took a vintage Fendi watch that needed cleaning and a new battery, which they took care of. They work very quickly. I am very happy with their work and will return."

"I just had a pair of beloved shows resoled by Alex. Unlike many other experiences I've had with show repairs, where they either didn't listen or didn't care what I wanted, Alex spent a good 15 minutes explaining my options, the benefits and drawbacks of each and patiently answering my questions. He said to expect a week for the job, but they were ready the next day. Great service, great price. A+."
