"The dress was beautiful! My only disappointment was that I had given 2 materials for stitching two months in advance & only got one stitched. I had given him 3 chances to get both done. Yet, he failed with his promise. Would have appreciated some honesty with all respect he seemed busy. Also, he made me feel uncomfortable with inappropriate touch while walking me back to the front door. Would never avail his services hereafter for this reason."

"Jose has fixed two of my dresses so far—a prom dress and a gala dress. In the case of my prom dress back in 2017 (the black one) I had ordered it according to my measurements and it still came in HUGE and needed significant alterations. Jose took a dress that was at least two to three sizes bigger and made it fit like a glove. Aside from making it fit in all the right places, he hemmed it at the bottom according to the height of my shoes (because I am super petite) without cutting off the beautiful train the dress had. Instead he made a hook so I could hang up my dress when I wanted to dance. My photos came out gorgeous and I got compliments all night. Then, in 2021 I went back to him to alter a gala dress (the green) I bought for a last minute media event that was too long and needed to be taken in just a bit to accentuate my curves. Jose got it done very quickly despite my last minute request and even added a hook for my train again. Once again I was complimented profusely and my photo even made the cut on Getty y’all. He is very skilled and efficient & never fails to make me look my best. I will continue returning to him with any alternations I need, which are quite a few coming up, so get ready Jose!! 😁"

"Jose is a wonderful tailor: he delivered on time, on budget, and more importantly - on quality! I found him through Google and chose him given the many great reviews, which are 100% deserved! I wanted to recycle my wedding dress and make a dress for my daughter's graduation. The dress was delicate and high quality, and Jose did it justice! my daughter (who's extremely exigent!) left happy as a clam and ready for the event. We only had to come once to try it and the next time it was ready. Beautiful work and two thumbs up Jose! I'll be recommending him to all my NYC friends."

"With businesses closed due to Covid-19 I couldn’t find anyone to fix my daughters prom dress for her mini prom. I found Jose on google and he is God sent!! He cut my daughters dress perfect, added a spit and created a matching face mask with the material! He is amazing!!! I will never go to anyone else!! I recommend him for everything! He is very friendly and extremely reliable! He took the dress on Friday and it was done by Tuesday. So impressed!!! Thank you Jose for your beautiful work!"
