"I honestly don’t know where to begin I stopped in last Friday for the steak special it also happened to be my birthday so I figured why not I pass this place all the time when I walked in no one greeted me the seating setup was awkward two guys were taking up the big middle section another customer sat in the back and the only other seats were right by the door with no real comfort or atmosphere I probably should have left but I decided to give it a shot after I ordered the food started coming out in random waves first a side dish appeared with zero explanation and trust me you wouldn’t have known what it was either a few minutes later came the loaded baked potato which was basically a gluey mess of cheese and bacon then finally the steak supposedly the star of the show it was cooked fine but only one side had a proper char I’ve had better beef but at least it wasn’t overcooked I ordered a ginger ale and some water but they didn’t have any ice not sure what that’s about a steakhouse with no ice and to top it all off I spent half the meal swatting at flies one even landed right in my potato mess I finished my steak skipped the sides and still tipped the girl at the counter because none of this was her fault she did what she could she just wasn’t trained to deliver real quality service trust me I don't normally write reviews like this but this place just rubbed me the wrong way at one point this might have been a good place my the care and love it gone!!!"

"the steaks were amazing especially the super dry aged ones, but everything was top notch. sal is an absolute gem of a human in addition to making those excellent meats. such amazing food for such reasonable prices and a generally low key comfortable vibe. definitely coming back to try the burger!"

"Best butcher shop! Frank and his staff made our first experience here a memorable one! The porterhouse and sides tasted amazing. Ended up taking home a few quarter pound burgers. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!"

"What a wonderful experience! My mother, two nieces, and I visited and had the most delicious steaks we've ever tasted. We selected two ribeyes and a bacon-wrapped filet mignon from the counter, presented to us by the owner, Frank. This establishment has been a local favorite since the 1930s, and now I understand why. Frank's personal recommendations and warm hospitality made us feel right at home. I highly recommend trying the applewood bacon appetizer; it's exceptional."

"I was excited and really wanted to like this place; I even came all the way to Woodside for this experience. I initially thought I had found a hidden gem. We went in with my toddler and wife and ordered two lunch specials and a cheeseburger within 2 minutes of entering the establishment. After waiting over 50 minutes, we had only gotten our salads, bread and one truffle fries side, while people around us all had gotten their entrees of steaks and burgers and had nearly finished their entire meal. The chef had even stuck his head out to take a look at us when we notified the server. We honestly didn't want getting my daughter's lunch played with, so we just got up and asked for our check. Thank you for the valuable lesson."
