"This post is from Here we Grow Day Care Inc. regarding a warning to all future customers of New Way Home Decor located at 2902 24th Avenue Astoria N.Y. Three years ago, New Way Home Decor installed a shade to draw down when the children are sleeping. Within the first month the shade came crashing down. New way home decor reinstalled the shade claiming the ladies are pulling on the shade. Nine months later the shade came crashing down again. Again, New Way home decor claimed the ladies were too rough with the shade. After that incident we no longer trusted the shade and blocked the children from going near the area. Thirteen months later the shade came crashing down again. When the installer came to reinstall the shade again, he stated the shade was cut too short and needed to reach from corner to corner in order to securely install two corner brackets. Previous installations had a corner bracket and a single bracket that was1 ¾ “shy of making it to the corner. We called the owner and informed her of the situation. She stated, “you know this was three years ago. We told her the shade had come down endangering the children three times and the installer said it was cut too short. We paid over $800 for this shade. The owner said she will replace the shade for another $500. The owner had no regard for the children’s safety, only lining her pockets. LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL FUTURE BUYERS. FIND ANOTHER COMPANY."

"Found their flyer as two people who don't speak English and don't live in my building were folding the flyers and sticking them threw slots in all the mailboxes in my building lobby downstairs. ILLEGAL I called the "Brooklyn / Queens" number to alert them to the crime and I called the police as I was escorting the 'neighbors' out of the building. Next time I'm calling ICE."

"I first contacted New Way Home Décor several years ago to replace my window blinds. I had the old fashion Venetian Blinds which were old, worn and had to be taken down and spray washed in the bathtub to clean. Don, the Sales Rep, conducted my home visit and he was courteous, friendly, and listened patiently as I expressed my interested in getting custom Mini Blinds. He was also very knowledgeable and had years of experience providing services in my apartment complex. This made him very familiar with the window, layout, and sunlight within the units. He also described the various blinds they sold by style, efficiency, and effectiveness in blocking sunlight and reducing heat. As a result, I ordered the Venetian Blinds instead of the Mini Blinds because I have large windows with lots of sunlight. Don was also respectful of my budget limit when I said I wanted to order the blinds one room at a time. Although he understood, he showed me the cost savings on paper, that proved it would be less expensive if I ordered all the blinds at the same time. In addition, he said I will never have to take down my blinds to wash them, I just must clean them with a duster every 3 weeks. My Venetian Blinds are beautiful, contemporary and makes my windows look very stylish with or without the curtains. Most of all, the blinds provide excellent shade and heat reduction throughout my apartment and cleaning them with a duster takes no time at all. The following year, I contacted New Way Home Décor to have my sofa, loveseat and recliner upholstery cleaned. Again, the service was excellent, and the Technician was expedient, meticulous, and very professional. All the furniture pieces looked beautiful and bright when he was done. Last Thursday, I called the company to have my furniture cleaned and I was elated to find that New Way Home Décor was still in business. I was so happy to hear Jenna’s voice on the other end of the line, and to hear that Don was still with the company. The very next morning, Victor arrived at my apartment and did an excellent meticulous and professional job in cleaning my furniture. With so many business closings, New Way Home Décor is still open after 42 years and still providing professional and high quality service to new and repeat customers. I have recommended their services to my neighbors, family, and friends, and I will not hesitate to use their services again. They are the BEST!"
