"As they say "Gotta go to Moe's". Super deals when they throw stuff on sale which is basically ever week. Their house brand stuff Smith jeans and Beverly Hills Polo casual wear items are of a nice quality and priced dirt cheap. Staff at the 86th street store are always friendly and helpful. Store itself is nicely organized and well stocked. Great place for name brand sneakers at basically the lowest price in the NY metro area"

"The best part about this store is the friendly associate that greets you at the door. After that you are hard pressed to find another associate to help you. Meanwhile there are plenty of associates visible on the floor, they're just too busy with personal conversations, to the point where you feel you are interrupting them when you need help. Unfortunately I still go there since they do have great deals but super mediocre customer service."

"JUST AWFUL EXPERIENCE. I went in looking for some warm running clothes for the new season. After I went about most of the women's dept and picked out my clothes, I made my way to the fitting room, where I was told I can only bring in 4 items; no big deal I thought. I had about 10 or 12 items with me, so I asked the sales attendant if I can put it down first and pick out which 4 items I wanted to try on first. She literally did not say anything and just rolled her eyes and opened the door for me. I ignored it, picked out my 4 items, and gave her the rest. Once I was ready for the other 4, I opened the door and waited for awhile for someone to even notice me. Mind you, the original sales attendant was just standing around by the register doing nothing this whole time. After a few minutes, another sales attendant came by and asked if I needed anything. I asked her if I can have another 4 items to try on. Of course, all of my clothes I picked out are gone. Another sales associate returned all of them to the original racks. To try to make up for it, she asks me to list everything out for her that I picked up....really? I decide to just ask for these under armour compression shorts that I really wanted to try on. I wait in the dressing room for another 5 minutes. After that, I start to put my clothes back on and decide this is over. Once I open the door, ANOTHER sales associate hands me a pair of Nike regular shorts, and asks "Is this what you wanted?".... And the worst part of it all is that not once did one single person apologize for the mishap. I talked to three different people and they all acted like they couldn't care less to even be there, let alone help any customers. Well, they lost a customer in me. I definitely will not be returning."

"I bought a pair of Skechers shoes and a Columbia jacket here. They had a sale when I went there. So I got a good deal. This store didn't have a huge variety in footwear. The attendants are nice and friendly."

"Typically when you go to a company as established as Modell's is, they tend to focus less and less on customer service because they already have great brand recognition. To my surprise, every employee I encountered while shopping here was very helpful and genuinely interested in helping me find what I was looking for. Glad to see that a company as big and successful as Modell's still values customer service!"
