"Because I was not happy with the quality of shoes I received (too many flaws in the leather and finish on uppers and heels), I returned them unworn in all original packaging. 18 days after the return was received by Meermin, I still have jot received a refund credit."

"I purchased the shoes on sale. I ordered a UK size 10 by mistake. I contacted Meermin multiple times. They never answered when I finally got in touch two months later through their website. I was told it was final sale and it was outside the 15 day return They wouldn't give me a courtesy For the correct size and the fact that they never responded to my emails, a half a dozen times Left me disappointed With their customer service, I was willing to pay all shipping expenses I would never buy from them again less than learn"

"10/10 shoe shopping experience with Lucas. Great value for a high quality leather shoe. Honestly don’t understand where the negative reviews come from"

"I was in the market for a pair of black penny loafers and purchased a pair from meermin after visiting this store. The in store folks were very courteous and pleasant but ended up advising me very poorly to buy a pair that was too small for me and then the shoe itself and all subsequent interaction with online support was a disaster. (There is another review here posted by Gabriel A. one month before mine that reflects an identical experience being advised to purchase the wrong size loafer with the false promise that “they will stretch out over time”). Regarding the shoes: all meermin lasts fall on the narrow side in the toe box area, their loafers are no exception, it is not advisable to consider meermin shoes unless you have properly narrow feet as a man. The loafers I got, other than being small and narrow on my feet, are the most uncomfortable shoes I have owned. I own multiple goodyear welted shoes that are not half as stiff in the sole or in the leather, and that are not so painful to stand and walk in. $215 seems like a great deal on goodyear welted shoes, but it’s just money wasted if the shoes are so uncomfortable that you can’t stand wearing them. The shoe leather is stiff in all the wrong places and very badly cuts into the back of my heel tendon, caused welts on my pinky toe and heel, and the sole has no flex. The sole also shows significant wear on the toes despite my only having walked in them a sum total of 30 minutes. Finally, I applied soft and then hard wax polishes to the shoes and almost immediately the polish started shedding in spots all over, I think that’s something off with the leather tanning or painting because I have never had that with any other shoe. The Meermin website does not allow reviews on the shoes to be posted and I am guessing because the complaints of narrow lasts and uncomfortable shoes would surface. Regarding online customer service: They give you strictly 15 days for a refund and that is no coincidence. Any issues that require an exchange (the store staff sold me the wrong pair of shoes initially and I requested an exchange for the correct model) Meermin will charge you $25 shipping, even if they caused the mistake. After the correct pair was finally shipped out to me. I only wore my pair out for the first time more than 15 days after receiving the shoes and found out the shoes absolutely destroy my feet to the point of actually injuring them. Meermin would not help me with an exchange, a return, or even to help pay for a possible shoe stretching to make the shoes usable for me. They only offered generic non-solutions like “wait for the shoes to stretch out” and then blamed me for choosing a wrong size on my first pair of loafers, even though I chose the size based on the advice of their in store employees. They are not a super customer-oriented company, that’s why their return period is 15 days and why they don’t allow reviews to be posted on their website. The shoes are narrow, tight, extremely stiff, uncomfortable, and they don’t even take a polish. I will give my pair away to a friend with smaller feet and lower standards most likely. I think any potential customers would be well advised to go elsewhere for shoes even at the same price point. Thursday boots and Beckett Simonon offer similar products at superior prices (and Beckett Simonon has amazing customer service in my experience with them). Otherwise grab Allen Edmonds on sale or any of the better reputed brands selling goodyear welted shoes."

"Great shopping and experience. The store has a great, sophisticated look to it. Staff was very helpful. I knew what I wanted as I had done my research. Great lighting in there to see how exactly the shoes will look on you. I will certainly be back again."
