"Wow -- I have had a terrible experience with this store, and am so disappointed to feel like I have to write this review. I was visiting NYC on my birthday and purchased a beautiful white dress and platform shoes in store for my bridal shower. I've truly received the WORST customer service and would not purchase anything from this store. Unfortunately, these pieces did not work out for me. Upon knowing I could not wear the heels I purchased to my shower, I shipped them back to the store requesting a full return well within the 30 day policy that is mentioned on Maje's website. The response I received from the store is that they cannot process a return for my items because I did not ship the unworn shoes with tag back in the "correct box". The store associate proceeded to argue with me over the phone, suggesting she could go back to look at the cameras and confirm the color of box that my shoes came in (which is besides the point). I couldn't ship my shoes back in the box because I had flown back to California and couldn't travel with the shoe box. It was also not mentioned to me that this was their process when I purchased the shoes, and now they're pushing me to exchange the item when I am simply asking for my money back. I am very disappointed in this experience, and would not shop here if you think there's any chance you may need to make a return. What an unpleasant experience for a brand that I love :("

"I don't have any issues with Maje. My friend and I went shopping in Soho as usual, we passed by the store and one of cardigan caught my friend eyes so we went inside to check it out. The staff was helpful and got my friend the right size. She ended up didn't buy that cardigan but got a sweet white tweed dress."

"Not welcoming. Walked in with a black associate not greeting me while intentionally greeting everyone else. For a store that’s marking their $1,000 coats down to $500– you’d think they’d be more welcoming and helpful. Only one girl gave me a warm greeting."

"I love this brand but walking into this store made me feel like trash. I was literally wearing a Sandro top which is the same price as Maje so clearly I can afford this place. Most employees, except for one, weren’t really welcoming. I had two items put on the side for a dressing room with the nice employee, however, after some time I couldn’t find my clothes in the dressing room. I went up to one of the other female employees a little frustrated that I didn’t know where my two tops were and she gaslit me and said that I handed her the two tops saying I didn’t like them and wanted them put back?? I never spoke with this employee so I had no clue what she was talking about. She said it several times again after making it seem like it was my fault when it wasn’t. I felt like she made a mistake by grabbing these clothes on the side for me and put them back by accident and just decided to blame me. I get it she made a mistake and that’s fine but don’t blame me for something you did. She even called me “hon” which felt kind of patronizing. Sandro is better anyway."

"I never complain about service because I honestly don’t care. But the male employee at this store is just so rude, you will feel like garbage after going to this store. He flat out walked away in the middle of our conversation. (I wasn’t saying anything bad, just answering his question about the fit) Treating another person like an empty spot is unacceptable not only from service but from human perspective. If you’re not gonna give 10 seconds for someone to answer your question, don’t ask. It’s as simple as that. I actually liked a couple of items there, but decided to walk out the second he turned his back at me. Very miserable experience of my day."
