"They're still around? Wish they could close so a Five Below could take over."

"From the moment I walked in the door I was asked to leave my bag at the front. I explained to the guard that it was my personal bag and I dont feel comfortable leaving it in the front. He then demanded to see what was inside of my personal bag before i could continue walking in and said that I must present a receipt and show my personal bag again and the items i purchased in order to be allowed to leave the store. Completely unethical, unlawful and an invasion of privacy. The cashiers dont even greet people. Avoid this store."

"Was coming there since the early 90s when it was a mall called Store World. REAL Bushwick/Ridgewood cats will remember that. Used to grab comic books and video games there as a kid. When it became this Liberty Department store, I was junior high/HS age.. I used to used to cop lil trinkets, little gear, little underwear, lil hoodie here and there after school, come here with my ladies and sit in front of the fans and cool off in the summers before continuing on.. or I would pop in to get lil knick nacks and admire the females working here. Shoutout to the two West Indian dudes that used to take the bags. they had to working there over 15 years EASY, but doesn't seem like either of em are there anymore. Hope they're in good health wherever they are. Anyway, never had a bad experience there, staff always friendly and helpful, prices are compatible with economic people, and always have good deal going. Shoutout to Liberty, still going strong in a changing city."

"Extremely Disappointed with Liberty’s Customer Experience I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Liberty recently. As I walked in, I was immediately stopped and told I needed to check in my shopping bag. I explained politely that it wasn’t just a random bag it had personal items inside, things I carry with me day to day. I also mentioned that I intended to use the same bag to carry any purchases I might make in the store. Despite this, the staff at the front insisted I leave it behind. I asked to speak to a manager, hoping for some understanding, but he echoed the same rigid stance without showing any flexibility or concern. I made it clear that it was a personal bag, not something I had just picked up from another store. Still, they refused to let me in with it, and made me feel like I was doing something wrong just for carrying my own belongings. The whole interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and honestly, quite disrespected. I’ve never had this kind of experience in any other major retailer not at Macy’s, not at Target, not even at high-end boutiques. Most stores trust and respect their customers, especially when it comes to personal belongings. Liberty’s policy or at least the way it was enforced completely ruined my shopping experience. I left the store frustrated and upset. It’s a real shame, because I was genuinely looking forward to browsing and shopping. This experience has made me think twice about ever returning"

"Good quality stuff. I have been going to that store for about 5 years and I NEVER KNEW they had o whole furniture department upstairs.. I was shocked when I saw the stuff that they have. Will be returning soon to have a better look at them because I was kinda rushing today. I'm redecorating my room and I did not have to kill myself because most of what I needed I got them there. And also the price range is not bad at all. The location is great, you can easily notice it from traffic and they have parking available but it's behind the store . Thrilled 🤗"
