"When I tell you dealing with this company was the worst decision of 2025, I mean it. My insured package (bag + service valued at $1,000) was lost via UPS. UPS approved the claim and confirmed they mailed the refund check to the company on September 10, 2025, yet I have still not received it. Instead, the company has ignored my messages, lied to me, and has not sent my refund check. I am filing in small claims court because this is not only wrong financially, but also on principle. • August 13: Package was supposed to be delivered. • August 19: Claim with UPS started. • From that point, I had to chase down every update—emails ignored, texts unanswered, only occasional responses after multiple follow-ups. I CONSTANTLY have to call or text!!! • September 17: I asked for an update. Jims told me “we are still working with UPS” and that I’d hear by the end of the week. Waited. NOTHING from them. • September 22: I called UPS directly and was told a check had already been mailed to the company on September 10. I WAS LITERALLY SHOCKED! I verified again the next day with a different UPS rep. Both confirmed the same thing. Why would you tell me Wednesday that you are still working with UPS, if by then they have already mailed the check! I was sooooo livid! I called them and spoke with one of the managers. The entire time it has been waiting on UPS approval to send me my refund. Now when I call he states, yes UPS approved but now they are waiting on ShipIt to approve their claim??? They NEVER mentioned this previously. Typical goal post being moved and more reasons not to mail me my refund! I paid insurance through UPS, they lost the package, they mailed the check, and now it’s something else?!?! At the end of the call, I ASKED HIM SPECIFICALLY WHEN MY CHECK WILL BE MAILED, he stated they would follow up with me by the end of the business day. Like you expect….NOTHING. No follow-up. NOTHING PER USUAL! I have screenshots, call logs, and written evidence of every interaction. The dishonesty is blatant: they told me on September 17 they were “still working with UPS” despite UPS already sending them the check a week earlier. This is proof of bad faith, lack of transparency, and intentional delay in refunding me. From CJ to the entire Cobbler Concierge team, the experience has been lies and runaround. Their communication changed the moment they got my money for my order. Early on, they were quick to respond. After payment once the package was lost, communication severely decreased. I also question the validity of their 5-star reviews because my experience is the exact opposite—dishonest and evasive. Out-of-state customers should be especially cautious: even with insurance, you may never see your money back. Do not trust Cobbler Concierge. They have shown zero integrity and zero accountability. UPDATE: I filed a complaint with the NYS Consumer Protection- New York State Department of State. They reached out to the company via email and mail. The owner responded immediately once they emailed them. NYS was in communication with the owner (who I was told was the father) and never CJ (the son), who unfortunately I was in contact with during this horrible ordeal. I was informed the father wanted to refund me everything, but the son (CJ) was pushing back hard because he was upset about my review. The owner agreed to refund only $500 which was the cost of the bag that was lost and not the service charge $475 I paid. I think the owner was trying to comprise without making his son upset. I agreed because I knew I paid the $475 service cost with my card and was going to file a dispute with my bank. The owner Zelled me the $500 and I filed a dispute with my bank for the $475 service charge. The bank sided with me, which I knew they would as there was no proof of delivery. In the end I got ALL my money back, but I had to fight to get it. The previous reviews of people going through the same thing, they just ended up being ghosted. Please don’t. If out of state, then I would HIGHLY not recommend using this company."

"I dropped off a brand new large Gucci bag (literally 3 weeks old!) that seemed to have blue stains all over it. The whole bag was light brown and SUEDE. Nightmare! Andrew quickly diagnosed the problem—indigo dye from my pants had rubbed off on the sides and bottom of the bag—and he said he could have it brand new, just give him a week. He wasn't kidding. I just got it back today, and no exaggeration, I was shocked. It looks like a brand new bag -- the stains are totally gone, the bag is sealed for stains now, and I am a very happy customer indeed! And now I know where I am going for all my leather, suede, shoe and bag repairs going forward. These guys are top-notch professionals, no question about it. I was highly dubious with the stain that my new bag would ever be restored, and I was blown away by the results. The two times I was in the store -- to drop off and pick up - the front counter was really bustling with people. I guess this is the place to go, and the word is out.Thank you Andrew for fixing my bad so quickly and so beautifully! The cost/rates are really reasonable too, by the way."

"We were referred to Jim’s shop on 60 E. 59th St. by a nearby department store after discovering that the zipper on a brand new bag was defective. From the moment we walked in, Andrew assisted us right away and could not have been kinder. We were visiting from out of town, and he took care of the issue on the spot — within five minutes, the zipper was fixed and working perfectly. To our surprise, he didn’t even charge us! We’re extremely grateful for his professionalism, generosity, and quick help. It saved us the trouble of leaving the bag or having to ship it back home. If you ever need a bag or leather repair in the city, don’t hesitate to stop by — service like this is rare and so appreciated!"

"Brought a pair of Cole haan boots in that I've had for 6 years, had repaired at another local shop last winter and that store "fixed" it twice and both times fell off. I had passed by Jim's a bunch and always looked busy and the second i walked in it makes sense why. The owner Andrew was really kind and explained the last repair was done incorrectly and he would fix while i got another pair of my boots was getting shined. He didn't charge me for the fix and said if it falls off again he'll take care of me. I love shops like this that are local and care about their customers. I'll be back!"
