"If your a tourist and you want to watch your penny and don't want to spend too much $$$$ on items you may need while your here in NYC, we'll leave all your bathroom essentials at home . Make your suitcase lighter. They have underwear , sox , toothbrushes , sops , shampoo, conditioner, hair brush, snaadles towels hoodies . Just basic things. PJ, 's snacks , drinks and it won't break your pocket. I live in NY and I always come to this store because it's one of the few that is affordable. They take cash and credit card. American money. I love this store. If you looking for name brand stuff then , this is not your store. This is just basics stuff. People this is NEW YORK CITY DONT MAKE YOUR SUITCASE HEAVIER THAN IT HAS TO BE. YOU CAN BUY EVERYTHING ANYWHERE IN NYC . ITS JUST THAT SOME PLACES WILL CHARGE YOU A HELL OF A LOT MORE MONEY THAN OTHERS. JACKS IS A GREAT PLACE TO BUY WHAT YOU NEED. JACKS IS LOCATED ON 40TH ST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK BETWEEN 7, & 8TH AVE . DO NOT SHOP AT THE BUS STATION PORT AUTHORITY ITS LIKE SHOPPING AT THE AIRPORT PRICES RIDICULOUS. SHOP HERE FOR WHAT EVER U NEED SNACKS, SANDWICH, DRINKS ,MENS STUFF CLOTHING, OF COURSE NO NAME BRANDS. STUFF , BATHROOM, DO BRING NOTHING FROM UR COUNTRY SHOP HERE. O IF U NEED COFFEE GO TO McDonald's or Dunkin Donuts or 7/11 people do not spend $7 on coffee .PRICES ARE SOOO REASONABLE FOR NYC. Make ur suitcase lighter u can buy stuff once u get here. (223 West 40th St. NyNy ) this is me and Manhattan ."

"The old Jack’s on 32nd, down the block from the Garden, was one of the most beloved stores in the City. Just about every native New Yorker (or at least Manhattanite) knew and loved the chaos, the crowds, and the great prices. Back then there were actually items priced at $.99. Stopping in after work was almost a ritual for many of us. Fast forward. The old Jack’s is sadly gone, but was reborn on 40th St. between 7th and 8th. It’s a much, much more modest version of what it was. It’s a much smaller and a much calmer environment. There are never the insane berserker shopping crowds like at the old place. Now it’s just a normal shopping experience and It’s a good place to get a few things for the house; maybe snacks and a drink. If it’s basic things that you’re looking for and don’t want to spend a fortune, then this is a great option. Things in the City are constantly changing, and many much loved institutions come and go. Such was the case with the original Jack’s. But we’re lucky to have this one. I stop in pretty regularly to pick up primarily household items. Maybe it’s out of nostalgia, I don’t know. But if you’re in the area stop by. You’ll certainly find some things that you can use. Long live Jacks!"

"This is one of my favorite places to shop. I just bought a nice pair of black sweatpants, with zip-up pockets, for $2.99. I also bought a few DVD's for .99¢ each, which were final sales, but they were nice enough to exchange one that was damaged. The food, and snacks, that they sell are also cheap. To me it is like a discount Kmart. 🙂 These are new, recent, pics from Jack's. Get them before they are gone. NEW POST: They now have $5.99 Jeans for men, as well as $1.99 Tank Tops For Women. As of: 7/15/25"

"We visit Manhattan twice a year and stop here to pick up snacks and incidentals. They have a nice small food section and a good selection of household items. I would check here for charging cables or plugs before the gift shops."
