"The owner "Alberto" of Halmart Furniture Store on Roosevelt Avenue in Woodside is top-notch. He is very knowledgeable, honest and professional. Alberto is not pushy and will patiently walk you through the store or let you look yourself. He understands the the balancing of value and quality. I was taken care of efficiently and quickly. Halmart has an excellent variety of styles, fabrics and price ranges. And, the furniture I purchased was delivered in 2-days. The delivery men were fast and did a great job putting the furniture together. The furniture quality exceeded my expectations. In fact, the owner showed me that he had the same type of couch that I was interested in in his own home. I looked at numerous furniture stores with no luck before finding and settling on Halmart. His prices for the same quality furniture was almost half the price of his competitors. The store has so many great finds and excellent brands from lamps to sectionals, to sofas, to bedroom sets and many items on clearance. Alberto is so helpful he can find anything you are looking for. I was lucky to stumble on Halmart. I highly recommend that before anyone buys furniture elsewhere to visit Halmart first."

"this is my 3rd time buying from Albert. his prices are always the best compared to competitors close by. He takes his time with you and offers an array of choices that fit your budget. He will often offer discounts as well when you bundle a purchase. I couldn't be happier with my new furniture as well when i first bought from him about 10 years ago. I will be coming back to purchase again as i need 2 high bar chairs as well as making a vanity room for my wife."

"I purchased a mattress from this store. The store delivered the mattress at approximately 3:00pm same day. When I opened the plastic, I saw a damage on both side of the mattress, right away (5 minutes) I called the store and no one answered, so I left a message to call me. I took pictures and I walked to the store about 3:30pm and my salesman was not there. I showed this present salesman the picture of the damage mattress. He said this is a new mattress, delivery guy did this. I said I wanted an exchange or my money back. He, Mr. Jack, reached in his pocket and attempted to give me $10. I said no, I wanted a refund. Then he got nasty and said “…I am not dealing with you…” I returned the shop, way to many times to resolve this issue. I with child under 5 months to be subjected to be walking 4 flights in any attempt to have a person help me to no avail. They lied over and over again. Unacceptable. Stay away from this place selling used mattress."

"I got my bed from this place last Wed. (June 6th), however, the mattress smells terrible, and it's hard to explain that smell. Of course, I made a bunch of google researches; however, none of them helped me to figure out this odd smell. Since I got the mattress from Jun 6th, I feel fatigue and weak, I haven't gone to my family doctor yet, but wish me luck. I never expected to get my money back since we all are clear this is a cheap in $ however, a ? in the quality place. I can never believe how one been around in this business for many years treats a customer with the shittiest and disrespectable attitude. I do appreciate the experience; the most important of all is getting a mattress with a qualified supplier!!!! This is the place you want to avoid !!!! "Zero star""
