"I absolutely adore this place. The displays are so creative, so often switched out. This is like a local museum to me and I love going here for tchotchkes and just for fun. Prices are more than reasonable and I love being able to support a small local business for all of my houseware and trinket needs. Also wonderful selection of jewelry, costume and not. Most of my accessories are from here. Got a lot of great books here too. Great owner and super enjoyable to chat with. Adore this place"

"The store offers a variety of different items- ranging from fine China, to decorative pins, to antique jewelry, to historical books. I was interested in the jewelry because there was a special deal- 3 pieces for $10, although 1 piece would be $5. Had a lovely conversation with the owner Norman about how he's been running the store for 50 years and how he values customer relationships. The place is cash-only, and when Norman saw that my sister didn't have cash to pay for our items, he insisted that we take the items and we just pay the total cost when we come back in the future. Such a generous man, luckily I had cash to cover the cost but I've never seen that level of generosity from a store owner before! I will definitely return and support Norman!"

"I'm sure this place has some great finds for collectibles/vintage chochki place. But my review is for the owner's remarks with another customer talking about politics. He loudly said things like "women shouldn't have the right to vote, what's the point" and "no woman should be president they'll just tank this country"....among other misogynistic comments. I immediately left because I couldn't stand being in such a hateful environment with mindsets older than the junk in this store. Visit at your own risk."

"I have lived a few doors down from G&N for almost 30 years, and so many of the dishes, tchotchkes, costume jewelry and furniture I have is from this store. You can find all kinds of odds and ends here and I never know what I will find. Norman, who runs this shop, is one of the kindest, loveliest human beings I’ve ever met. He always greets everyone with a smile (and often cake!), and he makes the neighborhood for me. Also, his window displays are AWESOME."
