"I just had a great experience at the Down and Quilt Shop. The sales people were very helpful in designing my bedroom. They showed me a beautiful matelassé and helped me to find a coordinating fabric for a custom-made duvet cover and pillow shams. Not only was the workmanship perfect, but the turnaround time was very fast. I wholeheartedly recommend the Down and Quilt Shop for quilts, bedding, and any custom-made related products. You will find the entire staff friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and talented."

"Buyers BEWARE: SELLS MACY’S BEDDING!!! This is a scam shop! I went into this shop a few weeks ago to purchase a quilt for my daughter. When I went in I explained that rather than go online (which I did originally and found a beautiful handmade quilt), I wanted to instead support a local shop. I went on to say we were looking for a handmade piece my daughter could grow into and have into adulthood. The shop lady pointed me to some quilts that were on sale. My daughter picked one she liked and the lady asked if I wanted to add pillow cases. I went home and a few days later got around to setting up the quilt. Much to my dismay I found the tags to be suspicious. I quickly googled what appeared to be the color of the quilt and found the EXACT quilt WITH shams for $74.93 on the Macy’s website!! I was completely shocked… I’d paid $247.14 for a Macy’s knock off quilt… I guess it’s what I get for trying to support a local business, never again… Everyone is on the take these days. Shame on the business for taking advantage of me. I would have happily continued to support this business but the thanks I get is getting scammed…"

They were attentive and helpful: they were able to find the exact fabric I wanted from their many samples and ordered the exact color and size needed. All of my bedding business goes through this local institution of the UWS!"
