"I visited this store for the first time to get the heels on my ankle boots repaired. While my own boots were affordable (just $39 at Macy’s), I decided to fix them to help reduce waste and support sustainability. The shop charged me $15 for one pair and $20 for the other. I'm not sure if that's the standard price, but it felt a bit high to me, particularly for the price of shoes and the work required. I was told my boots would be ready by Friday evening, but when I went to pick them up, they weren’t done. I was asked to return the next day at 11:00 AM, but even then, the work wasn’t finished. He only started on my second pair when I arrived and completed it in about 5 minutes. No shoe shine (other places did it complementary). So expect the delays and no frills. I hope the quality of the work holds up, and I’ll update once I’ve worn the boots. The shop owner wasn’t particularly friendly, but in my experience, most shoe repair workers aren't overly friendly, so I didn’t deduct a star for that. But not five stars for sure."

"I'll give them negative stars if I can. A couple months ago, I took a bag that once belonged to my mother to fix a loose metal fitting. The guy charged me over $200 because he claimed that he had to pick the bag apart. First of all, he said that he was going to be done in a couple days. When I went back on that day, he hadn't even started, and told me he needed one more day. I respectfully waited another day and went back, only to find out that he cracked the leather handle. I confronted him, but his reply was, "What can I do? It's vintage. This happens, but I GLUED it" It was bad enough that he just glued it shut, but he gaslit me for bringing in a vintage bag. I mean, isn't that the point of going to a repair? - To fix used but valuable items? I showed him the crack. I think he was hoping that I wouldn't notice, but the "glue" was coming off. He told me to come back the next day. This time it seemed glued shut, but it left a big scar. Fast forward to today, I tried the bag and metal fitting came off. I don't think he even took the bag apart to fix my issues to begin with. So now, I feel like I just paid over $200 to get my beloved bag broken. Maybe they are good with shoes, but don't bring your bag especially if it's valuable. This guy is so rude and incompetent."

"Thank you to Joseph for fixing my special belt! I bought this lion belt at a thrift store, but the belt was not made of leather, it was like cardboard, with beautiful metal buckles on it. Joesph had the brilliant idea to move all the buttons and buckles over to a real leather belt. He perfectly shifted everything over to a snake skin belt he had in-store. He crafted the belt to have the same sizes and same button hole length as the cardboard one AND it is truly the best thing I could have ever done. The price was very affordable too, he finished the whole thing in a week, and it was TOP QUALITY work. This belt is holding up so well where as the other one was falling apart, now this one will last forever. And all of the buckles are perfectly lined up, placed in exactly the right position, and the exact same belt hole width as the original cardboard belt. Highly recommend, Joseph is a true expert with all things leather and style. Thank you!"
