"It is such an overdue review from me. I and my family have been coming to Zara grill on hylan for years! Their food is always great, service is always top notch. Our go to plates are chicken shish and the chicken chop. I especially loved the side salad that comes with all the rice plates. We also tried lamb chops, chicken wraps, mixed combo grill and some other plates. They are all very good! Did I mention, their prices are so affordable and reasonable. They are the nicest people you will ever meet. That’s why they are so successful and been expanding. They know what they are doing and always do the right thing!"

"Everything you see that I posted DELICIOUS!! The rice buttery soft...Meats, salad, rice, appetizer were all on point! Ended up going to TRUVA restaurant in Astoria 3 days later cause its closer to me and was suggested by my waiter. Not the same menu but just as delicious.. TRY BOTH!!!"

"this is one of my family’s go to spots. if you can, definitely try to eat at the restaurant. it’s still great for takeout and we’ve done it many times but nothing beats eating the food fresh and hot off the grill. we are obsessed with how fluffy and tasty the rice is and how well it goes with all the meats. the portions are generous and the presentation is appetizing."

"Been to Zara for several times during my visit to Staten Island. I always enjoy the food, especially the rice and almond pudding. I also love the atmosphere when there was a birthday party. It felt like the whole restaurant was celebrating the party. Very warm and happy vibe."

"Ordered takeout. Tasty. Had the mix, the chicken and beef and some salad, bread, and rice pudding. The chicken and beef, although i ordered close to closing time, was very fresh, as was the rice. The white sauce was watery and could have been better. The bread felt like a bonus as I hadnt ordered any bread but it was hot and fresh and was enjoyable. The rice pudding was good, a nice sweetness, but a tad milky. The top felt like a coat and when brushed aside, felt like some regular cinnamon could have put this to a 6 star dessert. Would order from here again to try some other dishes."
