"“Wah Fung No.1 Fast Food” in Chinatown never disappoints. There’s always a line outside, and honestly, I’m not surprised — this place is all about value. It’s not the most “refined” roast meat in the city, but the portions are unbeatable for the price. I ordered the roast duck and roast pork over rice. Look at how much food they give you — I couldn’t even finish it, and it was only $9! The flavor leans slightly sweet, super easy to enjoy. The duck has a saltier kick compared to the pork, which balances the dish really well. If you’re in Chinatown and want something tasty, fast, and crazy affordable, this spot is always worth a stop."

"Got stomach aches from this place. Lined up for over an hour for this cheap Cantonese food store that went viral on TikTok. If you’re Asian, don’t even bother lining up, you should have better standards and taste. I was waiting for duck, but when I got to the store, they said no more duck available today… For seven dollars in NYC it’s hard to beat, but the quality of the food is truly terrible. Rice was too hard and the chicken was too dry… There’s also no benches around! So have fun eating on the staircase!"

"It's a big wait during lunch time but understandably so. I haven't gotten roast meats on rice (with the right sauce!!) like this outside of Asia in a while, it's absolutely 💯💯. All for a very reasonable price in NY. Do yourself a favour and get the crispy pork and char siu mixed. And get a large and thank me later 🫡"

"Tik tok really did this place justice. The lines, wow it took a long time to actually order food. By the time I ordered, I was starving. The duck and pork over white rice with the ginger and garlic sauce was yummy. Even the steamed cabbage was really good. This place was cheap and worth it. Definitely try it, food price starts as little as $6 for a small which is so filling."

"Tourist here :) I saw this place on TikTok literal days before my trip so l was excited to try it. Now I will say the video I saw I didn't say that it was cash only, so I was glad that my friend had cash. It was $6.25 for the small roasted pork, or duck with rice and cabbage. We waited in line for about 20 minutes. They did move quickly and efficiently though. It's a really small shop so you just walk in when it's your turn order, watch him cut up the meat, put it in the tin and then you pay and walk out. Pretty simple overall. It’s was good and I felt worth it in overall value since it's a generous amount of food for under 7 bucks. Check it out if you’re in the area."
