"I've been coming here to Tumi since it first opened, and I have nothing but great things to say. Authentic and delicious Peruvian food. Quality service from the staff and the owner is so sweet! My favorite on the menu is the jalea mixta, but I tried the corvina macho this week, and it is amazing!"

"This place is an absolute gem! It’s right on the street front of 9th Ave, so it’s easily accessible. The staff there are very accommodating and the service is FAST! They were busy with two groups having celebrations with parties of 6 or more and I got drinks in less than 5 mins of ordering. The appetizers came quickly too and they were fresh food, not reheated stuff like some other places do. The mains were delectable too and the portion sizes are appropriate."

"It was just incredible! The food was so so good, one of the best meals I had. Atmosphere was nice, service was great. Overall just a great place to have dinner. Drinks were also very good. And I think it is not pricy at all considering the size of the portions and how fresh it was."

"Whay to say? I absolutely loved everything about the Tumi experience. The food was to die for, the freshness, the flavour, the individually cooked dishes! This is the first meal I have totally enjoyed in New York. If you want to escape the fries, the burgers, the starch....Tumi is the place you need. The restaurant may be small but spotless, colourful with lovely individual artwork. The staff, so beautiful, genuine and hospitable. Kenny was so obliging and professional. Spoil yourself. You wont regret it. Fab!!!"

"As per usually whenever we score Broadway tickets, we head to the city early find parking and randomly pick a restaurant for a pre-show meal and cocktails. In June we happened to walk into Tumi. The restaurant appeared to be newly opened and possibly still working out some of the kinks. With a clean modern design it has a very relax causal feel with simple decor. We started with some HH passion fruit margaritas and chips & guac. For an entrée I decided on Arroz con Pollo (it was presented differently from what I’m accustomed to) and bestie went with Pulpo A La Parrilla (grilled octopus). Both dishes were well seasoned and nicely prepared. I was impressed by the octopus, the flavor was great but the texture was perfect. I wanted to order it but was nervous that it may be overcooked and rubbery and it was not. Overall a good random dining experience. Our server was Andres, he was lovely and offered suggestions when asked. You can tell staff was still trying to find their flow which highlighted some of the inconsistency in communication with each other. Just A Note: -Happy Hour everyday from 3-7pm -Drag Brunch 2-4pm on Saturday & Sunday"
