"Sensational. Great for a date or going solo. Not good for a big group. Seating can only be at the bar. Blue crab roll is insane. Baked crab and scallop also amazing."

"One of the best sushi spots I’ve been to in New York! The fish was incredibly fresh, and every piece was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with a nice balance between traditional and modern vibes. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations. He gave us one of the best sake we had which is Soto and I really enjoyed it with my hand roll. I’ll be coming back again to enjoy it."

"The hand rolls here are delicious! Amazing service too. I recommend getting a set so you can try the different hand rolls - the scallop one was absolutely amazing. The fish tastes so fresh, would honestly give a 10/10 for this restaurant."

"Temakase on 28th Street is dangerously good. Every hand roll was absolutely banging—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly wrapped. They just kept coming, each one better than the last. The crispy rice was also a standout—super crunchy and topped to perfection. The quality of the fish and the balance of textures made it one of the best hand roll bars I’ve been to in NYC. The ambiance is also super cute—intimate and modern without trying too hard. Highly recommend for a fun, delicious night out."

"Gave this place a try one saturday afternoon and it didn’t disappoint! Walked in and sat right down. The staff was very attentive, answering all our questions about the menu and constant water refills on a hot day. We got the tuna & salmon crispy rice appetizers—which were phenomenal! We also chose to get the “Starving” Handroll Set which came with 5 handrolls (any of which you can swap out if it’s not your preference). The spicy scallop and the toro were my two favorites - compared to other handroll places in NYC, their version of it was memorable."
