"I have seen this place for years but never had a chance to try it, until today and courtesy of Door Dash. Their ice cream is creamy and taste pure. I got the coffee, pineapple mango and the grape nut. All are so delicious. I had to regulate myself otherwise I would have ate all of it. The grape nut was a delectable nutty surprise. I will definitely purchase again....so many other flavors to try."

"We live in Virginia, however anytime we go to NY we go there and spend an average of $60.00. We were there on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The rep was on the phone socializing. When he finally decided to take my order he was ruching me. Each time I gave him a product that I want he kept running to the register to check me out. I had to keep saving I am ordering more products. Then I wanted to purchase additional ice scream that I had not had in the past. I try one with a tiny spoon. Then I wanted to try another flavor then he said only one trying per customer. I then asked for a lid for a small ice scream for my granddaughter and he said no. I explained to him that because it was only a little after 10:00 am she needed to eat breakfast first and that we are on the way back home. That ice screem came with a cone Which I denied it because it will not work to take it with us in the cooler. I ended up only spending $52.00 plus dollars that day, because of the bad service. I am not sure if I will ever come back and purchase there.It is a same because the service thought the years as been great, with friendly employees. The customer behind me felt so bad for me that she spoke to the employee on my behalf several times. It"

"I visited my mom in my old neighborhood today and decided to stop by taste the tropics . Omg it reminded me of my childhood when moms would get me and my sister ice cream after school . Mind you I’m 49 so they have been around a while and they still got it . I got me a rum raisin cup and I destroyed it before I got back home lol . They have so many flavors from soursop , to Guinness flavor and Irish moss to name a few . It’s a must try trust me ."

"Truly a taste of the tropics. The flavors here are unmatched. The peach, banana & guava some of my favorites. Today I tried the pralines and cream 10/10! Its busy every time I come so be prepared to wait a few minutes. They let you try samples. The prices are better than other ice cream shops near by. They offer sugar free options as well."

"They still have the old cake designs on the wall from when I was a kid. I love the ice cream here. The flavors are different than a traditional ice cream shop and the prices are pretty good. Guava and grape nut will always be my favorite"
