"I always get the Al Pastor tacos but tried the tostadas today and they are amazing. Best tacos in bushwick by far. Solid every time. Also for everyone talking about delivery and their stuff being cold, once it’s in the hands of the delivery driver any restaurant has no control. Eat in, stop bitching, they make fresh tortillas and you want it 45 minutes later. Just a bad decision. Recommend more than any place in bushwick! 🖤"

"Best tacos Ive had since my trip to Mexico City a few years back. They throw in roast onions ans jalapeno too if you can handle it, and the corn tortillas are made to order in front of you. Better than Taqueria Ramirez frankly."

"Excellent tacos, fast and friendly service, good prices. What more could you ask for in a neighborhood taco joint? I had the carne asada and al pastor tacos. Both were excellent. Perfect for a quick bite. I liked that they cooked the pork for the al pastor tacos on a rotating vertical spit!"

"Taqueria Al Pastor delivers a dining experience that balances authentic Mexican flavors with quality execution. On my visit, I tried the Carne Asada Burrito, an Al Pastor Taco, a Carne Asada Tostada, and a Horchata. The Carne Asada Burrito was hearty and flavorful, with tender grilled beef marinated in citrus, garlic, and spices a classic northern Mexican preparation known as carne asada, or “grilled meat.” Wrapped in a warm flour tortilla with rice, beans, pico de gallo, and guacamole, it delivered both comfort and balance in every bite. The Al Pastor Taco stood out as a true highlight. Al pastor, which means “shepherd style,” blends Mexico’s street food culture with Lebanese influence, using spit roasted pork marinated in achiote, chilies, and pineapple. Served on a soft tortilla with onion, cilantro, and chunks of sweet pineapple, it was vibrant and layered, the sweetness of the fruit perfectly cutting through the rich spice of the meat. The Carne Asada Tostada brought another dimension to the beef, served on a crisp fried corn tortilla topped with beans, salsa, onions, and a creamy avocado sauce. The interplay of textures crunchy, creamy, smoky showed how Mexican cuisine thrives on contrast and freshness. To pair it all, the Horchata was smooth, cool, and lightly spiced with cinnamon and vanilla. This rice-based drink, a staple in Mexican dining, balanced the bold flavors of the food and provided a refreshing finish to the meal. Pricing is higher than your average taquería, but that’s reflective of the neighborhood and in this case, the flavors, portions, and quality make it worth it. Service was warm, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Taqueria Al Pastor serves a slice of culinary history with every dish. From the smoky carne asada to the sweet-savory al pastor, it’s a spot that celebrates tradition with flavor that justifies the cost."
