"Definitely worth all the stars! We went a couple minutes before it opens and were able to be seated at the counter. When we left there was a line, so either grab a reservation or go early. There are plenty of counter seats. Every dish is fantastic. * The Frena is MUST. It’s fully and soft like cloud with crispy bottom. * Hummus was the best I’ve ever had. * Squash had this great contrasting texture between the caramelized full-of-fiber skin and the soft, sweet, juicy inside. * Beef kebab was juicy and tender * Fish was marinated with lemon and some herb so it’s lightweight tender and refreshing * we had the ice cream with apple and tahini twist together. I’d prefer it to be all tahini."

"We ate at Shukette in Chelsea and even though we were seated in the outdoor section—which wasn’t the most comfortable—the food and service completely made up for it. The standouts were incredible: Shakshuka Braised Heirloom Butter Beans — rich, flavorful, and totally unique. Grass-Fed Shish Kebab — perfectly seasoned and cooked. Not Your Average Hummus and the Beet Tzatziki — fun, delicious, and definitely not average! The staff was warm and on point, and the energy of the place is great. The indoor dining room looked amazing, but they were fully booked, so we’ll definitely try again for indoor seating next time. Great location near the subway, delicious dishes across the board, and genuinely fantastic service. Highly recommend Shukette!"

"This was my third time dining here, and the food continues to impress. The frena pita is still my top pick — soft, meaty, and wonderfully aromatic. I tried the kataifi-wrapped fried halloumi for the first time and it was a standout. Every dish was spot-on delicious. Reservations can run late, but whether you get an early table or one after 10pm, it’s worth the visit."

"Whether you watch Triple Threat or not, this is a hopping little restaurant with tons of pizazz and flavor to match! Ayesha Nurdjaja has set up a lovely little spot with indoor, bar, outdoor, and enclosed/heated outdoor seating options. The staff is really lovely and they allowed us in without a reservation when they opened their doors, which was really lovely. Honestly, the plates, while small in size, are just nutrient and flavor packed and delicious. The cocktails here are light and effervescent and the breads are ... I would fight my grandmother in the street to get those recipes- they're that amazing. Nothing we had was bad but I loved the charred broccoli and the Mic Drop Tahini soft-serve ice cream. That alone is with the price of admission! Long story short, if you're considering it, go. It's worth it!"

"Omg—cant believe it took me this long to visit. The food is FINGER-LICKIN-FANTASTIC. Other than the ambiance being a little lackluster, the service, energy of the people & flavors made up to it. Im still dreaming about this meal. • Frena (1000/10) literally the best pita bread ive had in my life—garlicky, fluffy & a crispy bottom. we had to get two because it was just that good • Labneh (10/10) thick yogurt super yummy with the peaches to cut through the creaminess • Carrot Dip (10/10) enjoyed this one too! texture is more loose & also sweeter loved the garnishes • Tomato salad (10/10) the juiciest tomatoes ever, dressing was citrusy & refreshing. but the garlic whip??? give me a whole plate of just that please. • Beef skewer (10/10) • Chicken (100/10) cooked and seasoned to perfection. juiciest protein. no notes. • Halva soft serve (100/10) do not skip this. sesame flavor came through extremely well & NOT TOO SWEET. perfect way to end the meal."
